"Bells of Old South College" become the Wesleyan Carillon

A documentary film photographed, produced, and witnessed by Mariah E.
Klaneski '04 that chronicles the installation of Wesleyan's eight new
bells as the University's chime was transformed into a carillon. Footage
highlights the hoisting of the bells, hanging them among the sixteen
existing ones inside the belfry, and connecting the keyboard to the
clappers above. Running time: 20 minutes.
Dedication
The November 5, 2005 ceremony was filmed and produced by ITS Media
Services to record this historic event. The dedication honored the donors
of the eight new bells and expanded practice keyboard installed in 2005,
as well as the formerly anonymous donor of the 1966 expansion of the
bells, Victor L. Butterfield. Program features music of the new Wesleyan
Carillon as well as a formal acceptance of the gifts by President Douglas
J. Bennet. Running time: 50 minutes.
All proceeds from this DVD will benefit the Wesleyan Carillon.
