5.0 out of 5 stars Children ages 3-7 will love this latest of the Best Fairy Books, and they will also enjoy the audio CD, September 28, 2009
This review is from: The Belly Button Fairy (Hardcover)
"The Belly Button Fairy" is an entrancing, fantasy-filled, original rhyming tale by Bobbie Hinman about how all children's belly buttons came to be in the middle of their tummies. Told by a grandmotherly fairy, filled with full-page, story enriching, and the colorful artwork of Mark Wayne Adams, "The Belly Button Fairy" is the perfect example of the author's whimsical philosophy, "Who better to blame it on than a fairy?" Children ages 3-7 will love this latest of the Best Fairy Books, and they will also enjoy the audio CD complete with original fairy song and chiming bell to mark the page turns. Even parents and babysitters will love "The Belly Button Fairy" because it teaches kids about the joy of reading and besides, it's just lots of fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Will bring forth a birth of giggles!, June 13, 2011
This review is from: The Belly Button Fairy (Hardcover)
While there is little truth to the belly button fairy tale. I bubbled over with giggles as I read this book. It is just too cute and adorable to not love. The book also comes with a CD that has a song about the fairy and a read a long. If you have listened to previous books like I have this one has better quality then the earlier book like The Knot Fairy and The Sock Fairy.
I love how creative this fairy was thought up to be an old grand-mom looking fairy in a rocking chair!

The art is superb as the other book have been as well! I can't think of a thing I would change with this book including the CD!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Book with a Whimsical Explaination of the Origin of Belly Buttons, May 17, 2011

This review is from: The Belly Button Fairy (Hardcover)
Just how do belly buttons get to be in the center of one's body? The belly button fairy puts them there, of course. The Belly Button Fairy is an adorable rhyming story that explains how the belly button fairy accomplishes her very important job.

The illustrations are beautifully done with lots of color and imagination. Kids will enjoy looking at all of the pictures and seeing the belly button fairy flitting around in her rocking chair and over-sized red tennis shoes.

I read this story to my six-year-old son who really enjoyed looking at all of the belly buttons - even the one on the dog.

The Belly Button Fairy is a fun, whimsical story that would appeal to kids ages 3-7.

My son LOVES his belly button. He constantly has his hand on it. So, of course I had to buy this book. It's cute. Not his favorites, but I enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Belly Button Fairy Rocks!, October 23, 2010
By
This review is from: The Belly Button Fairy (Hardcover)
The Belly Button Fairy is not your ordinary fairy. Instead, this fairy is a grandmotherly figure who wears tennis shoes and flies around in her rocking chair. Bobbie Hinman has created a thoroughly charming main character for this story. I can't imagine that children wouldn't just flock to the Belly Button Fairy. In addition, Mark Wayne Adams has developed endearing images of this fairy and all her doings.

The Belly Button Fairy does not multi-task. Her one job is to make sure all the babies receive only one belly button and that it is right in the middle.

It is easy to see why The Belly Button Fairy has won several awards, including the 2010 Mom's Choice Medal Award. The story has a wonderfully fun rhythm to it and the images make you want to study each page to make sure you don't miss anything. As an added bonus, the book comes with an audio CD, complete with fairy songs and story narration. What a great addition to enhance the enjoyment of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars So beautiful!, October 9, 2009
By
This review is from: The Belly Button Fairy (Hardcover)
I just met the author, Bobbie Hinman, and the illustrator, Mark Wayne Adams, at a local book festival. They both were so kind and interesting to speak with! I purchased the book for my unborn child. The book's colors are so bright. The illustrations are so captivating. The story is imaginative. I enjoyed my purchase so much, I went back and bought another one for my best friend's upcoming baby shower. Both books will be enjoyed and treasured for a very long time to come.
