Great, easy to follow, REAL guide!
As part of our new years resolutions, my Wife and I
have decided to try to live healthier. We want to make sure we live as

Ashley Lopez wrote the book "Belly Fat Diet", but I think the title should be healthy living diet. She takes nuggets of information and interesting tips and facts and puts them in one book. In the beginning, she does explain belly fat (visceral vs. subcutaneous) and the pear vs. apple shape. This book basically takes every piece of good advice I've heard in fitness and puts it into one easy to understand fitness handbook. Bravo. I especially appreciate when she explains the need to rest when sick, and not try to work out because the body needs to focus on recovering. My husband is on the other spectrum of weight and tries to gain, while I'm fighting to lose it. We have discussed the issue of resting when ill, and taking time off from working out. This book is a good read for ANYONE.

This book had a few tips and tricks that could be helpful to a first time dieter/reader. But it was alot like every other diet book out there. Its not the fault of the writer. Its just hard to write about something totally new when it comes to dieting with all honesty.

I will tell you that it was very well written and easy to understand. So it still is worth the chance of a read.

I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend this book to anyone who was hoping to lose weight and were struggling. This book gave me a greater understanding of how much fat is too much fat to have in the body. I never really understood how much sleep can affect your weight. I have struggled with putting weight on, so although I don’t need to loose weight, it gives me a greater understanding of how to control belly fat. The chapter about stress really hits home with me as I had a really stressful time when my daughter was 11 months old, this caused me to lose a considerable amount of stress to the point my doctor wanted to class me as anorexic and only didn’t because he knew I hadn’t done this on purpose and wanted to put weight on. The tips on how to not be bloated was really good to read through. I would highly recommend this book.
