Great, easy to follow, REAL guide!
As part of our new years resolutions, my Wife and I
have decided to try to live healthier. We want to make sure we live as
long as possible to be able to spend it with our Daughter, and someday
grandchild(ren). Our quest for this led us to lots of different places..
stores.. websites.. other books.. but I am so lucky to have stumbled on
this book via a review on a health and fitness forum I found.

Belly fat is not just unsightly, it is also unhealthy. This short guidebook gives a great overview of the subject of what causes belly fat and how to effectively get rid of it. “Effectively” is the operative word here, since the answer to long-term fat loss is not a quick diet. To loose the belly fat and keep it off we have to change our lifestyle and eating habits, and this book explains, in practical terms, just how to do that, step by small step.

Since this subject has been discussed far and wide already, I was pleasantly surprised to find some facts in this book, which I have not yet come across anywhere else. These include the pointers on how to use green tea for belly fat loss, and the little tricks for preparing food (like pounding the meat), among others.

I can easily recommend this book to anyone looking for an informative and concise book on the subject of belly fat loss.

I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend this book to anyone who was hoping to lose weight and were struggling. This book gave me a greater understanding of how much fat is too much fat to have in the body. I never really understood how much sleep can affect your weight. I have struggled with putting weight on, so although I don’t need to loose weight, it gives me a greater understanding of how to control belly fat. The chapter about stress really hits home with me as I had a really stressful time when my daughter was 11 months old, this caused me to lose a considerable amount of stress to the point my doctor wanted to class me as anorexic and only didn’t because he knew I hadn’t done this on purpose and wanted to put weight on. The tips on how to not be bloated was really good to read through. I would highly recommend this book.

Ashley Lopez wrote the book "Belly Fat Diet", but I think the title should be healthy living diet. She takes nuggets of information and interesting tips and facts and puts them in one book. In the beginning, she does explain belly fat (visceral vs. subcutaneous) and the pear vs. apple shape. This book basically takes every piece of good advice I've heard in fitness and puts it into one easy to understand fitness handbook. Bravo. I especially appreciate when she explains the need to rest when sick, and not try to work out because the body needs to focus on recovering. My husband is on the other spectrum of weight and tries to gain, while I'm fighting to lose it. We have discussed the issue of resting when ill, and taking time off from working out. This book is a good read for ANYONE.
