I was very surprised when I first tried these, because I was expecting delicious chocolate but instead they are somewhat flavorless. Obviously the vitamins are great and needed when you're pregnant-but the taste is bland. Luna bars are much, much tastier.

I've been carrying these around for the past five months of my pregnancy. With not much room in my stomach these days, the bars make a nice hold-over between meals. They're vegetarian and contain many of the nutrients it can be harder for me to get as a vegetarian, including omega-3s (from algae, not fish). The other thing I like about Bellybars is that they're not horribly over sweet. So many granola-type bars try to compensate for the nutritional contents by overloading them with sugar, or fake sugar--even worse. I can't really taste the toffee in these, but the chocolate is enough to make them mighty tasty.

I purchased this item upon finding out I was pregnant and thought the taste would be GREAT based on the reviews. Unfortunately, the taste was just OK. Tasted kind of fake...but since it is healthy, it is a fairly good alternative to some of the other junk food we are tempted to eat. So overall, decent for taste good for nutrition.
