Not very diverse though....,
By Tribal Dancer "kas" (So Cal) - See all my reviews

Over all I like this CD pretty well. The music selections seem to be pretty Egyptian/Cabaret heavy. There are one or two pieces from the tribal performances. But if you really like the happpy bouncey "HABIBI! HABIBI!" sort of music then this is the CD for you. I just gotta warn you again that the selection is just not very diverse.
But over all I enjoy the CD. The bouncey stuff they have is good.

Great for Dancing!!!,

These are all very good songs for dancing. It is very easy to make a choreography from these songs, especially for a folkloric group. There is a lot of fun folkloric music here. There is a modern fusion piece with drums by Isaam (#2). The drums are very beautiful and Isaam is a great drummer. The first song on this CD is one of my favorite songs. It has such a beautiful arrangement. The music is a rich mixture of baladi, saidi, classical and drums. I love number ten also: it is a lovely accordion baladi. This CD also has very nice, interesting music that could be used for tribal-style. Overall, it is a great CD, and I like all of the songs here.

Vol. 3,

I like this one, but maybe not as much as volume one and two. I think there are a lot of good songs that really get you in the mood to just jump up and dance. I remember all this music from the local Belly dance festival though, so when you buy it, if you are using it for a performance, remember that it's a very common album and a lot of others maybe using the same music.
