This Belmonte music stand is exactly what my children needed to hold their sheet music when practicing guitar. We wanted a portable stand since my daughter is in college and required one that would fold down so it wouldn't take up much room in her dorm room. Here are my observations:

Pros -
+ Portable; 2 pieces fold down to a very small size
+ Case; carry bag is fairly small and has a good shoulder strap
+ Fast Setup; goes together in seconds
+ Sturdy; much more stable than expected
+ Adjustable; height can easily be changed for standing or sitting (but see "Cons" below)

Cons -
- Adjustable pole can slide down with heavier books on the stand since it is held up by a friction clamp, but an easy fix is to place a small spring clamp (like 3.75" Muslin Clamps, Pack of 6) on the pole if you have this issue

We liked this so much that we ordered another one for my son.

I was new to music and needed a decent stand - I stumbled upon this little beauty, saw the good reviews, and gave it a try. I gotta say, for the low price, it works as well as anything I've ever seen. I'm sure that there's more expensive stands that work even better, especially for the more advanced and needy player, but if you're a newbie like me, give this a shot.

Very useful, exactly what I needed. Sturdy well constructed although made in China, it servers it's purpose. The carrying bag also well made. They must have a good quality control program.

the stand is easy to put together and take apart. it is sturdy but I wouldn't be putting extra heavy loaded notebooks on it, it doesn't have that much depth to hold it, the bag that comes with for carrying is made out of canvas and is really nice, I really like the product it fits my needs.Happy shopping

This stand came in handy. I am a choir director and whether I am in the choir stand, on the floor for praise and worship or visisting another church, I am able to carry it with me. Not bulky and easy to take down and get out of the way quickly.

This is a nice portable music stand, but it was not designed for a person 6'4". At full height I am still looking down when I play my trombone. If only they would have added four more feet to it I will be able to look forward when playing. This stand is also difficult for placing a light on it too. I have to use my floor lamp. It sucks that most thing are made for the short people. I have to sit down to use it.
