To Each His Own,

This review is from: The Beloved (Paperback)
I noticed a couple of negative reviews among the many stellar ones. That's life, I guess... you can't please everyone. But-- this book sure pleased me! SHONA & ADAM, KATHARINE & JASE - Characters to remember!M. D. Gray debuts with a chilling dark occult novel, one that is sure to catch your attention from page one. As I said -- it sure caught mine! What more can you ask for - a horror story, a time travel of sorts, and a love story all wrapped up in one well crafted book. Treat yourself to a gripping tale and emotional roller-coaster -- Read M. D. Gray's THE BELOVED.

Interesting but difficult read...,

This review is from: The Beloved (Paperback)
The premise of this book is fascinating... reincarnation, karma, demons, psychic powers. However, I found the writing stilted and some passages didn't fit into the book such as the disagreements between the two main characters in their presents lives. A difficult read but ultimately worth it if you are interested in the occult.

Loved this book. I got totally engrossed in the past life story and didn't want to return to the present. I highly recommend it for anyone who has a interest in the past life and its impact on the present.

This book was NOT what I expected, it was BETTER than I expected. I found the writing fast and the book intriguing. I stayed up all night, almost afraid to go to sleep. I want more books from this author

Good occult fiction,

This review is from: The Beloved (Paperback)
I found this book while looking in the Occult Fiction section of the bookstore. After thoroughly enjoying it, I see by looking at the other reviews you either love it or hate it. M. D. Gray's knowledge of the occult is well expressed through this book. The author is obviously a teacher and a student in this field with the ability to educate those of us with less experience. I might have been disappointed had I expected Erotic Horror as some have classed this book, but it fits so well in the Occult Fiction category, why make it someting it isn't? I loved the book and look forward to more by M. D. Gray

More Gothic than erotic,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Beloved (Paperback)
This book has great gothic overtones. It is not so much erotic as it is a good gothic horror. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to any lover of gargoyles and deamons.

The Beloved,

This review is from: The Beloved (Paperback)
This book is really excellent! Anyone who loves tension in a story will truly appreciate the great sexual tension here, as well as the horror aspect. The story really keeps you guessing, which I loved- so many twists and turns! I won't waste your time by giving a full synopsis of the story because you can just read the editorial reviews, so take my word for it, this book comes highly recommended. Enjoy!-Frankie Alsup

Demon lovers and Victorian morals. What a combination!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Beloved (Paperback)
As a new age-gothic fan, I found this book to be one of the best past life novels I've ever read. It is tantalizinly erotic with great sexual tension between the anti-hero, Jase and the Victorian Katherine.

DREAM...or REALITY,
By "fournerat" (Atlanta, GA (USA)) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Beloved (Paperback)
From the Author's Foreword, novelist M.D. Gray invites us into the world of past life therapy and the hypnotic story of THE BELOVED with the question; "What then?" "What if reincarnation is true?" What then? "Do groups of souls tend to reincarnate together?" What then? "Could the personality from one life overshadow the personality of the next incarnation?" What then? "And what sort of memories would it retain?" Indeed, what then? Find out if you read this book or dreamt it into existence, and if your witness to the story really did manifest from your past. THE BELOVED is your portal into the possible...a must read for karmic reckoning enthusists.
