My Radar detector was purchased January 2010. One month later the detector stopped working and would not turn on. I verified it was not the power source or the cable; the unit was receiving power but would not turn on. Well I wasn't too happy but I knew it was covered by a 1 Year warranty. I called up Beltronics only to find out that they DO NOT HONOR WARRANTY CLAIMS for products purchased from Amazon.com!!! Even worse, they wanted $79.99 + shipping to fix the unit. Needless-to-say, I find their level of customer service inadequate and disconcerting given the volume of product they sell through this site. I will not purchase another Beltronics product and would advise highly against it given their lack of professionalism in standing behind the quality of their own product.

Was skeptical at first, but once I purchased this radar, it has saved me on several occasions from expensive speeding tickets! I would highly recommend this radar detector over the escort to anyone on the market for a new one.

Had to send broken unit once for $75 or so and is now broken again. Would not accept for warranty because it was purchased from another source besides Beltronics. When it worked, it worked fine with long distance warnings except on a hill and except for laser which was expected.

I bought this in 2006 and it still works great.. The rader has gone with me to other countries ie. Fiji, New Zealand, Australia .. I can say it has saved my butt a few times. The construction is great, overall great product from beletronics.

It worked fine for about eight weeks, then quit. I didn't keep the receipt, so it was a total waste of money.
