Ben 10: Alien Force The Game, based on Cartoon Network's hit television series, is the only video game that allows players to take command of characters from the 'Alien Force' team to authentically control and experience their adventures. The game begins five years after Ben put away the DNA-scrambling Omnitrix, but now Grandpa Max has gone missing and the planet Earth is in grave danger.

Gamers must help Ben take the Omnitrix out of retirement and lead ten different playable characters-including cousin Gwen, enemy-turned-ally Kevin Levin and five of Ben's brand new alien forms-Swampfire, Jet Ray, Humungousaur, Spidermonkey and Big Chill-to utilize their all-new super powers and defeat the intergalactic invaders. Gamers will experience tons of all-new story content and can even adventure as additional alien forms Echo Echo, Chromastone and Goop exclusively with the Nintendo DS version.

Gameplay is fast-paced, 3D and action-adventure based, offering an unlimited combo system with puzzles and challenges that will engage players of all levels for hours at a time. Ben 10: Alien Force The Game comes on the heels of a tremendously successful inaugural game, BEN 10: Protector of Earth, which launched in November 2007 and has sold more than one million units worldwide, making this an adventure not to be missed.

Playable Characters
Ben Tennyson - Ben fills the role of leader after Max disappears. The Omnitrix has been recalibrated, giving him access to a new set of alien heroes. Over the past few years, Ben has matured dramatically.

Gwen Tennyson - Now 15, Gwen is much more proficient with her powers, able to manipulate energy directly as opposed to using spells. Gwen is much calmer and grown up, nowhere near as fiery or sharp-tongued as she was five years ago.

Kevin Levin - A former nemesis of Ben, 16-year-old Kevin reforms and joins the Tennysons on their quest to repay Magister for saving him from the Forever Knights. While not as psychotic as he once was, he still desires revenge for his time in the Null Void at first, though he puts it aside to help stop the Highbreed. His abilities now allow him to absorb the properties of any solid matter he touches.

Humongousaur - Humongousaur is a Vaxasaurian, a humanoid dinosaur alien from the planet Terradino (a play on 'dino' from dinosaur). Standing at about twelve feet tall, Humongousaur has great strength and vast resistance to injury. He also has the power to increase his own body size and mass, growing up to sixty feet in height. His strength increases as he grows, and his dinosaur features become more pronounced.

Spidermonkey - Spidermonkey is a Arachnichimp (a play on arachnid and chimpanzee) from the planet Aranhascimmia. As his name suggests, he is a six-limbed monkey-like alien. He has superhuman agility and, like a spider, can spin webs that he can swing from or create nets from his tail, and stick to walls. When Ben transforms into Spidermonkey, he talks in an excited, childish tone and displays mischievous characteristics with occasional monkey-like screeching.

Jetray - Jetray is a Aerophibian (a play on 'aero' for air and amphibian) from the planet Aeropela. Jetray is a manta ray-like alien capable of flying and swimming faster than the speed of sound. He can fire neuroshock blasts from his eyes and tail, and the stingers on his head carry a powerful poison.

Swampfire - Jetray is a Aerophibian (a play on 'aero' for air and amphibian) from the planet Aeropela. Jetray is a manta ray-like alien capable of flying and swimming faster than the speed of sound. He can fire neuroshock blasts from his eyes and tail, and the stingers on his head carry a powerful poison.

Big Chill - Big Chill is a moth-like alien whose wings and antennae can "fold" up, giving him the appearance of a phantom; his appearance is reminiscent of the cryptid known as Mothman. He can become intangible and invisible, and can breathe freezing vapor. He can also freeze the objects he phases through at his discretion.

Goop - Goop is a shape-shifting, self-regenerating green blob that weighs 200 pounds. Goop's slime is controlled by a UFO-like machine over his head, which is also where Ben's voice comes from. The UFO can cause the slime to take any shape, regenerate wounds, and even hover off the ground. However, if the UFO and the slime are separated by even a short distance, the slime will go inert until the UFO recollects it.

Echo Echo - Echo Echo is a Sonorosian from the planet Sonorosia. He is a small white alien whose body is a living amplifier. He can scream at ultrasonic frequencies capable of overloading machinery and stopping projectiles in mid-flight. He also has the ability to duplicate himself, allowing entire groups to be knocked out without hampering the rest. By combining these two aspects, Ben can create the "Wall of Sound", where he and his clones can redirect projectiles back to their source by bouncing them off of strategically placed clones..

Key Game Features:

  • Authentically Step Into The 'Alien Force' World - Play the only video game that allows you to command members of the 'Alien Force' team; investigate ever-before-seen locations, enemies and characters, and explore favorite places from the best show episodes.
  • Multiple Playable Characters with Special Superpowers - Take control of Ben and his new alien forms Swampfire, Jet Ray, Humungousaur, Spidermonkey and Big Chill to manipulate fire, swim underwater, grow more than 60 feet tall, stick to walls, fly at mach speed, plus lots more! Harness Gwen's talent to create an energy shield to protect and attack, and use Kevin Levin's ability to absorb materials to create impenetrable body armor. Adventure as alien forms Echo Echo, Chromastone and Goop exclusively in the Nintendo DS version.
  • Solid and Robust Gameplay - Explore action-packed levels and secret sections in arcade-style gameplay as you clash with more than 20 types of enemies; use more than 75 attack options and create unlimited attack chaining with the streamlined combo system.
  • Based On a Successful Television Franchise - As one of Cartoon Network's breakout original franchises, the Ben 10: Alien Force television series is in its first season as a top-rated show, and is the next generation continuation of the phenomenally successful and Emmy-winning Ben 10 original series. A long form television movie based on Ben 10: Alien Force will debut on Cartoon Network in fall 2008.
  • Exceptional Level of Authenticity - The game's art style, sound effects and music are 100% authentic, with all audio in the game pulled directly from the show sound vaults and all voice acting provided by the original television cast.

4.0 out of 5 stars Two boys' review: This sequel misses the original's magic November 13, 2008
Platform for Display:Nintendo DS
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
My two sons -- ages 6 and 4 -- are fans of Ben 10 (my oldest even dressed up in a Ben 10 costume this past Halloween!) They gave a 5-star review to the previous Nintendo DS game, Ben 10 Protector of the Earth.

This game, despite the large number of new characters and an equally dazzling amount of sound effects straight from the cartoon, only gets four stars.

Pros:
* Many of Ben 10s new alien forms are available for you to choose to play.
* The gameplay is easier than that of Ben 10 Protector of the Earth, so younger players might like this version better.

Cons:
* The gameplay isn't as challenging, so older kids will tire of this adventure game much faster than the first Ben 10 game.
* Some of the fighting sequences are repetitive and get old fast.

In summary, if you have a young child that loves Ben 10 go ahead and buy this game. Just use caution with older kids (ages 10 and up) who might not find the gameplay challenging enough to hold their interest.

5.0 out of 5 stars My son enjoys this game. October 5, 2009
Platform for Display:Nintendo DS|Verified Purchase
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
My son loves Ben 10 and thinks this game is lots of fun. He is 5 years old. I like that he can do it on his own. I think it is one of his better Nintendo DS games, but that is also because he enjoys Ben 10 so much. If you kid is a Ben 10 fan, and between 5 and 8 years of age, it is a good buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars May the (Alien) Force Be With You. February 1, 2010
Platform for Display:Nintendo DS
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Ben Tennyson's back and badder than ever in his new series "Ben 10 Alien Force". Now you can live out his adventures in the new "Ben 10 Alien Force" video game !

Join Ben, Gwen, and Kevin as they head out to new places - though some are familiar to the series' first season - and take down some new foes. You'll encounter new creatures great and small, but as Ben, you'll take them down no problem with 5 of your favorite alien heroes: Swampfire, Echo Echo, Chromastone, Goop, and Humoungousaur.

This game is somewhat familiar to that of the first Ben 10 game, "Ben 10: Protector of Earth", but you're now playing new alien characters, AND Gwen and Kevin, too ! There's also some new attacks and combo moves that you've gotta be quick on to take down the bad guys. But beating up baddies isn't enough; there are some parts in the game that require skill needed to solve puzzles and challenges in some levels. Also, use each alien form wisely, and you'll find some new secret areas with items that unlock new bonus content in the Database menu.

So if you're a fan of "Ben 10" and "Ben 10 Alien Force", this game is rather enjoyable. And look for more new episodes of "Alien Force" real soon on Cartoon Network !

Bought this game for my 10 year old son for Christmas 2011. You should see the expression on his face when he opened it. He was ecstatic which made me feel really great to be his dad. Up to this day he still plays it. Oh did I fail to mention that he is a Ben 10 freak, lol.

3.0 out of 5 stars challenging January 6, 2009

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
My 6 yo son got this game for his new Nintendo DS from Santa. Although he likes the game a lot he gets frustrated and doesn't find it as easy to maneuver as some of the other Nintendo DS games. Perhaps an older kid wouldn't find it as challenging

Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
My sister loves this show, plays all the games. Got all these on the DS, and she says they're just not as fun/easy to play on the DS. They're much better on other systems (w/ controllers).
