A waste of $ if you have the Version 1 Omnitrix - a GREAT deal if you don't!,

My son is a HUGE Ben 10 fan. We already have the Version One Omnitrix Illuminator. So when I saw this "Version Two", I jumped on it. The first thing out of his mouth upon unwrapping it was "Hey... I already have this!" I said, "No, look at it. It's different." He took a second look and said, "No, no... I'm sure I have this already." Apparently, the only major difference between "Version 1" and "Version 2" are the three little discs inside the watch projector. If I would have known that, I would have skipped the whole thing and looked for some sort of "Disc Refill Pack" instead. That being said, when I first purchased the "Version 1" Omnitrix, it was almost 30 dollars!
SO - if this is your first "Omnitrix" purchase, then this "Version 2" is a GREAT value. However, if you already have the 1st Version, I would say - save your money. The quality of this toy is surprisingly good. The band is sturdy and the projection idea is really neat. The face of the watch IS a bit bulky for little wrists, but this toy works the best in a dark room anyway. It is not something that kids would necessarily want to walk around with all day (although MY son DOES wear it everywhere). The novelty and excitement comes from projecting the images of popular Ben 10 creatures against a wall, or flat surface. The closer you get to the wall, the sharper the projected images become. We have decided to "recycle" this gift and give it to someone who does not have the "Version 1" Omnitrix. After all, this second version IS almost exactly the same as the first version (which was double the price of this one). Given the quality and the "fun factor", it will still make a nice present for another child. Even though we haven't opened the box yet, I have decided to keep this and re-gift, rather than return it. It IS a very cool toy and will still make a great gift for another kid who likes Ben 10.

We bought this for my son's 5th birthday and it's great. It comes with three different 'discs' to put in it. When you slide one of the discs in and push the button to make the watch's light go on, if you point it at the wall in a dark room, you see Ben 10 figures from the show. It's like a wrist Viewfinder and I think it's a wonderful toy. My son has taken it to bed with him one night so he could play with it as he's going to sleep. Would recommend this to any Ben 10 fans!

It's an OK toy.....my 3 year old enjoys it, but the battery life was not good at all. Also, they are the type of batteries that are hard to find (Flat cell (LR44)). The major electronic stores don't carry it. I'm sure Radio Shack has it, I just haven't found the time to get over there.

This toy is absolutely useless! It is so hard to "see" the aliens that are supposed to light up on the wall. It is a flimsy plastic toy! Spend the extra money of the DS game or something if your kid is a Ben 10 fan. Don't waste your money like I did. It is very bulky on a childs arm. My son is 7. It now just sits in a corner!

My 4 year old likes it but he gets mad if he presses the wrong button which makes the disc shoot out! But other than that I would say he really likes it. Really good projection in dark room. Worth the small amount of money I paid!

My son is a big Ben 10 fan, so when he received this as a gift, he was very excited. In his excitement, he dropped it, and has never been able to use the dial to switch aliens.
He is a little disappointed, so he doesn't play with it as much as he does with some of his other toys. I don't recommend this toy as it is not rugged enough for young boys.

My son, 6 years old, loves his "Ben 10 Omnitrix". He got it for his birthday last August and still chooses to wear it most of the time. For the first couple of months he didn't go anywhere without it. It has lasted very well with all the use and "little brother abuse" it has gotten. I don't think we have all the discs anymore, but my son doesn't seem to mind. He rarely uses it to shine the alien's pictures on the wall anymore. It is mostly just a fun accessory to wear and feel "cool". We have been very pleased.

I didn't touch the product for two weeks. When ready to wrap it I realized that it didn't light up. So, I opened the package to check the style of batteries and realized there's NO WHERE I can buy them in my county. So, the watch wasn't a gift for Christmas -- I'm going to have to wait to get the batteries and then I wouldn't be surprised if it STILL won't work. Why in the world would a company mail something that doesn't work? Huh?
