Not great, but my son loves it., June 7, 2006

This review is from: Ben 10 (Ten) Animating Omnitrix Watch Alien Viewer (Toy)
I agree with the other reviewer in that this toy is more like a free toy from a fast food restaurant than anything else. Probably not worth the cost, but my 5 year old son absolutely loves it. It has held up very well considering the amount of abuse that he has inflicted on it. The most disappointing aspect of the toy is that the disc viewer is poorly designed. If you manage shine some light at a particular angle you might be rewarded with a blurry blob that might resemble one of Ben 10's characters. There is another version of the Omnitrix coming out later this year which promises all kinds of bells and whistles later this year. For now this toy - although far from perfect - is a boon for my son.

5 stars for authentic appearance - 2 stars for function, July 6, 2006
This review is from: Ben 10 (Ten) Animating Omnitrix Watch Alien Viewer (Toy)
This watch looks so real, my grandson was thrilled. However there is no way to view the images on the disc that come with the watch (or the Ben 10 character toys) because the watch is not back lit.

Really lame, November 18, 2006
This review is from: Ben 10 (Ten) Animating Omnitrix Watch Alien Viewer (Toy)
That is how my 4 year old described his watch. He was really disappointed that you had to change the wheels like a viewmaster (and they are really hard to keep track of!) and the images were next to impossible to see. I can't believe this is selling for $19.99 now! We're going to try the newer version, the description sounds more like what he was hoping for the first time.

I was disappointed in the Ben 10 Animated Omnitrix Watch. It looks like a toy my grandson would get in a "McDonald's Kids Meal". Very cheaply made and doesn't work well.

Not worth the cost, January 5, 2007
This review is from: Ben 10 (Ten) Animating Omnitrix Watch Alien Viewer (Toy)
Even though I purchased this watch for my grandson for Christmas from another store, it was not worth the money. It does nothing and my grandson abandoned it soon after opening it. I picked up few pieces from under the sofa last night. I did see on one toy store's website that there is a deluxe model that is probably better. I wish I had known that before I spend $10 on this piece of junk.

poor cheap design, December 24, 2006
This review is from: Ben 10 (Ten) Animating Omnitrix Watch Alien Viewer (Toy)
My son loves Ben 10 and was really disappointed in this toy. If they just designed it with a built in light it would be so much better. Who would design a viewmaster that doesnt let in light so you can see the images???? I agree we've had fast food freebies that were better quality than this thing.

Very disappointing, February 14, 2007
This review is from: Ben 10 (Ten) Animating Omnitrix Watch Alien Viewer (Toy)
This is not a good product. My son picked it out at the toy store to spend his Christmas money. We got it home and it wasn't at all what he expected. It works just like a View Master, except that you need to hold the toy directly at a light in order to see the pictures on the little discs. Even a brightly lit room is not enough, you really need to hold it next to a sunny window, or a light bulb. This is a toy that you would expect to find in a fast-food kid's meal. We returned this to the store the next day, and he picked out something different. If you're looking for a Ben 10 Omnitrix watch, I would highly recommend the Omnitrix F/X Watch. That is a great product.

Omnitrix Viewer not what we expected, January 20, 2007
This review is from: Ben 10 (Ten) Animating Omnitrix Watch Alien Viewer (Toy)
Unfortunately, my 6 yr old son did not like it and was very disappointed. You can't see the aliens very well through the little peep hole in the watch. He doesn't want anything to do with it and I spent way too much money to get it delivered before Christmas. I was so disappointed because he loves Ben 10. Bummed out Mom :(

My 4 year old son loves this toy, April 28, 2008
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Ben 10 (Ten) Animating Omnitrix Watch Alien Viewer (Toy)
This watch is a hit. There are at least 5 boys in my son's preschool that have gone out and purchased this watch. They love it. They all play with them during recess. It's not my favorite toy because I have to help my son read which figure he has to transform into. However, I would say there is some educational benefit to the toy - it is helping my son read and recognize letters. He has me write letters so he can battle without me reading it. I must admit that having a light on this would be beneficial. However, This is his favorite Ben 10 toy . . . besides the figurines.

This review is from: Ben 10 (Ten) Animating Omnitrix Watch Alien Viewer (Toy)
I purchased the Omnitrix watch for my 8 year old son. He is crazy about it and barely takes it off! It has stood up to the abuse that an 8 year old boy inflicts on his toys remarkably well. He loves Ben 10 and is just absolutely enthralled with this toy.
