Biography, Ep. 93 "Ben & Jerry"

4.0 out of 5 stars  See all reviews (5 customer reviews)
With flavor names like Phish Food and Karamel Sutra, Ben & Jerry's Homemade ice cream has built a reputation over the years as a fun-loving company with a unique and creative approach to business. When Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield met in gym class in 1963, they realized that they ... shared two important qualities: a hatred for running and a love for food. They also agreed that it was no fun being in business just to earn a living--they wanted to enjoy themselves too. So in 1977 they turned to ice cream making by enrolling in a $5 correspondence course to learn the craft. Their recipe was a sophisticated concoction: a blend of fresh Vermont milk, cream and generous portions of whatever ingredients took their fancy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Relive the Studio 54 Era May 25, 2007
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This biography is a 'must have' for anyone that is fascinated with or still loves the disco era. There will never be another Studio 54 although many have tried. It was all because of Steve Rubell who was a genius at creating the perfect disco. This biography tells the story of Steve Rubell, how he created Studio 54 and how his ego landed him in jail. It even has a few behind-the-scenes photos showing the club while it was still under construction. The only problem with this disc is it's too short. I wish it was 3 hours long!

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful ! February 1, 2004
By DUMAS
Format:VHS Tape
In the 70's, i was too young to be in the Studio54 and meet Steve Rubell.
Now, i can say that Steve has been certainly one of the famous stars the nightlife will allways need.
Take a look at this video and you'll see how impressive was the man with the eternal smile.
Enjoy !
Only one regrets : no more interviews of Steve...
