This review is from: BenQ DC E41 4MP Digital Camera with 4x Digital Zoom (Electronics)
I bought this camera from amazon.com a month ago. I have to say i was really excited, when i got it i couldn't believe it finaly arrived (i ordered it with free shipping, it took 9 days) and i decided to go to the window to snap the first picture, i decided it would be the scene i have since i live in a 9th floor.

When i got to the computer i pluged it USB, and Linux Fedora Core 3 recognised it immedately i could not believe it. then i downloaded the picture....

It was 7am a beautiful BRIGHT day

The picture was grainy everywhere, blured everywhere but the center and really dark in the leftmost and rightmost side, so grainy that to whom i showed the piture asked me if i took it with a webcam.

I tried different combinations and the best quality came at 1mp in day, anything other MP settings than that just isn't acceptable, and beside that i have to reduce to 800x600 to make it eye pleasing.

But this camera have some pros...

* Video quality is excelent, records in ASF format at 30fps really clean and smooth.

* MP3 Playback with included earbuds is awesome, the bass sounds so great

* The Sound recording (WAV) has excelent compresion i can fit more than 6 hours in my 256 SD Card.

but i wanted a Digital camera to take pictures, not for video, mp3 or sound recording, so i'm selling this camera to get a new one.

(...)

Final recomendations: If you really like this camera for it looks, take the pictures at 2mp and then reduce to 800x600. that's the best combination for me.

**Added 1 week later**

It seems that the camera came with some kind of flaw. I took a sample image and sended it to BenQ, they answered back saying that the picture should not be like that, it's now in service. I'll post when i get it, will also upload some pictures!
