You could buy other 27" monitors with better pictures costing more than twice as much.

This is the cheaper alternative to some of the pricier IPS panels out there(Dell, HP, Samsung and Etc.,) Due to budget concerns I was only looking for 27" monitors that are priced below $ 350 per unit, after seeing several units from different manufacturer (Acer, HP 2711x, Asus, AOC,Samsung & Etc.,) at local Microcenter. I decided to give this unit a try. When at the store, this unit produced more accurate and vivid colors compared to others and the viewing angles were excellent.
After spending a few days with this unit I have noticed it performs pretty well on general applications, games, movies etc., where as my several month old 24" Acer appeared to be washed out in color when performing the sames tasks. If you are in the market for a budget 27" you should have a look at this unit.

I've been out of the monitor game for awhile. From what it comes down to it's TN vs VA vs IPS. I found this monitor on sale for around $200 and decided to pull the trigger on it. What I was ultimately looking for was a large monitor with decent specifications and had HDMI & DVI. VGA, speakers a plus. I play both PC and Xbox 360 games on stream and at LAN's, so having a monitor that was capable of handling both kinds of inputs is a plus. I thought this monitor knocked it out of the park - 4 ms (GTG) response time? 27"? Speakers? Heck yeah! A company that I follow through ESPORTS? Oh boy!

I also watched Linus' review of the monitor and understood it had some problems but what doesn't?

Unpacking the monitor was fairly straight forward. Monitor snaps in and thumb screws to the base. It is extremely light! It also has a very very attractive look. I was really excited to hook it up.

Upon connecting it all up I was almost instantly disappointed. The colors look bright and the blacks are good. The viewing angle is exceptional, which is what I heard about VA's. Good to go so far. Then I saw the ghosting.

Oh god. The ghosting.

This thing ghosts more than Patrick Swayze. I felt like I was misled on the response time. The actual response time is 12ms which to someone who really cares about things like response time, input lag and latency, is really high. I immediately noticed ghosting in RTS and First Person games. The colors of the grass changed from green to dark green whenever you moved. Dark, gray planets turned even darker when you panned over them.

The monitor has an "AMA" feature, short for "Amazing!

This is a great monitor, I love these things 27inch gaming monitors. RPG gaming mainly here. would not suggest for those FPS gamers as there is a small motion blur in quick action games like BF4 and COD. Cant beat the price. I own 3 of them...

I'm a graphic and photo editor.... I would not suggest using these as a primary monitor for any color correction because the gamma is off even when using professional screen calibrating devices... The whites are a tint of blue.. The screen for sure has a small tint of blue, its not a settings issue, its a hardware issue with the monitors, thats how they are manufactured..... thats why the price is so low.

So I was searching for a great 27" gaming monitor. I was upgrading from 2x 23" LCD CFL bulb monitors.. Generally speaking, gaming monitors are optimum at 23-24" but I wanted just a bit bigger. Consumer Reports gave the Benq monitor high points but only docked because of the price.

As surprised as I was to find it on Amazon for this price (I paid $290) I was a bit hesitant in buying this monitor from Amazon because of the amazing price. I was worried that it was the sub-quality version. Maybe it is, but I am amazed at the rich colors from this monitor.

Playing WoW and SWTOR, it is great. Videos are great! Everything is richer and cleared. I did have to tweak it some out of the box. That is common for most LED backlit monitors and not really that difficult. The senseye technology is simply astounding. The VESA mounting capability is great.

I don't see how you could ever go wrong with this one. I had purchased a 24" Dell LED to accompany this but now I'm saving up now for a second one of these.

Only Cons: 1) Almost* too big for great desktop gaming. Certainly will not go any bigger. 2)Makes other monitors that would prolly be nice, really crappy in comparison.

I looked for a long time for led-lit monitor, Doing a lot of research it came down to an asus or this. I chose this one mainly for the screensize.

But I was pleasantly surprised when I received my first one.

It's very responsive, even with higher paced games.

After a couple months I bought another one I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for nice screen realestate, good for gaming, graphics, movies and a general usage monitor. Plus it looks really nice.

The LCD technology behind this monitor actually works, and I can believe the analysis that shows a 1:2500 contrast ratio. I used these settings (the defaults are not good) Brightness:18, Contrast: 50, Gamma: 3, Picture Mode: Standard, Color Temperature: User, RGB 100, 96, 98.
