This projector is described as 3D ready, but it's not. Take a look at the manual (pdf included on Amazon's page). It has "3D color management," which has nothing to do with "3D ready"

The price should also be a tipoff.

Please ignore the 3 stars I gave it, as a rating is required to do a post, and I don't want to give it high or low marks. I don't blame the product, just whoever wrote the incorrect description.

I bought this in March 2010 and I have had no problems with it at all. I like the 720p resolution, but my next projector will be 1080p. The picture looks great and the contrast and brightness is wonderful.
If this had any problems, I would have found them by now. The only improvement I would suggest is a quicker turn on time, but my last projector was slow too. It's probably just a limitation with the bulbs.

Compared to my ex projector Epson 705HD , black levels are much better!

Cons:
- you can't use the remote control without turning on the backlit.
- Short throw distance/diagonal range/)
- the manual focus lacks a part , and you cannot use the max optical zoom(1.15:1) using it, because the image is muddy.
- It's NOT 3D ready!Friend of main has it ,and we tested a long time on these option.I don't know why the official site doesn't fix this yet.
- "searching signal" takes longer sometime.

Anyway the projector produce nice colors and good black levels.I'm not sensitive of rainbow effect but if you are, you may note this annoying effect.
