WHAT A GREAT BOOK!!! THE BOOK BRIEFLY DESCRIBES HOW A YOUNG MAN WITH A HUMBLE BEGINNING IN ALASKA BECOMES A JUDGE. ALONG THE WAY HE FALLS IN LOVE WITH HUNTING, ESPECIALLY THE BIG BROWN BEARS. HE DESCRIBES A NUMBER OF HUNTS AND CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, WHAT TYPE OF GUNS AND AMMO HE USES AS WELL. VERY GOOD INFORMATION ON WHAT WORKED BACK THEN, IF YOU WERE BRAVE ENOUGH TO DO IT THE WAY HE DID!! A FRIEND LOANED ME THIS BOOK, IT IS SO GOOD I WILL BUY ONE FOR MYSELF TO READ AGAIN AND LOAN OUT TO FRIENDS. IF YOU LIKE HUNTING, THE OUTDOORS, OR ADVENTURE - GIVE THIS BOOK A TRY!!
