The TANDEM's stacked featherboard design more than doubles the holding area for stabilizing and guiding your taller stock across your saw or router table. The result is a much safer, cleaner cut. Its durable polymer feather tips will not mar your workpiece. Large clamping knobs are easy on the hands, and the aluminum miter slot adapter (included) holds tight. TANDEM FEATHER-LOC's built-in set-up feather makes setting the proper tension fast, easy, and repeatable. You can remove TANDEM FEATHER-LOC from the table without altering its tension setting. The tandem featherboard is a good idea and probably works well in T slots. Then the hardware provided could get a firm grip in the slot and hold the featherboard down tightly against the work table, which, in my case is the table of a 10" saw. Bench Dog provides an adapter to accommodate standard, ungrooved, miter slots but this adapter allows the featherboard to be only weakly anchored at best and often fails while work is in progress. When it fails, the featherboard lifts up in the miter slot, sometimes completely out of it; control over the workpiece becomes compromised and, in some cases, a dangerous situation arises as the user tries to cope with the workpiece and with the useless featherboard. On my table saw, featherboard failure is a more common occurrence than success, and, I have had to abandon use of the featherboard. As sometimes happens, a device that is designed to increase power tool safety actually reduces it. This is the case when this featherboard is used in a standard ungrooved miter slot. This leads to my 1 star rating. With solid anchoring I would likely give a 4 star rating.

product works fine, is a good solid little featherboard. Beware of purchasing as per Amazon deals with 2 single boards as the 2 single boards do not come with the piece allowing attachment to mitre slots of a table saw. Extra purchase and cost of the split bars allowing them to be used with table saw made it an expensive proposition, not a deal at all!

I've been using homemade featherboards until now. This product offers versitility as well as good product design. My only additional request would be for longer bolts to use another spacer and featherboard on top for tall crown molding. Use these in conjunction with featherboards on the fence to assure workpiece stability when routing.
