The Benchmade 530 is based on Benchmade knives Mel Pardue designed Model 350 Knife. The basic looks are the same with the spear point blade and coffin style handle design but, the AXIS lock was incorporated for added performance function of these knives. The overall design was slimmed down for a low profile, low drag carry, and the weight is still incredibly light. So if you liked the Model 350 knife, you’re going to love the Model 530.

Be careful - the description says plain edge but The benchmade product code 530S is the partially serrated edge (which is what I received). Great knife, but not what I wanted or what was advertised.

Item came decently sharp, yes its semi-serrated but whatever its still friggenawesome. Knife is very slim and fits well in my hand. Blade is sharp only on 1 side making it legal to carry in Washington state. Blade is solid and locking mechanism secures it well. I feel confident it would not fail me under normal use. All and all I love this knife. Its my new everyday carry.

I receive a lot of computer equipment at work and needed a small knife to open boxes. This pardue is light, compact and stylish and SHARP. The clip lets me keep it securely in my pocket. It's 9am and I have already used it today!
