REally nice knife, confusion for me was the assosiation with Benchmade, This is a nice knife but not a Benchmade, it is made with association with Benchmade, and made for Heckler and Koch in Taiwan. It was my intent to purchase a Benchmade made in USA knifeShould have paid more attention, but not unhappy with product or price. The knife is nicely done

i bought a few of these for the guys in the family for an all around small thin do it all knife.it seems to dull quickly so alot of sharpening is needed.wasnt happy about it being taiwan made. have never used the glass breaker but putting the knife through hell,...prying stabbin cutting wire and beyond it hasnt broken yet after a year of abuse all of them are very loose the serrated part has stayed sharp the paint has just about completely come off but for 30 bucks i didnt think it would last so im shocked for what we've put them through.good thin knife dnt even know its clipped onto your pocket.

I'm a collector, and I have several Benchmade knives. I've never held them in the esteem that others seem to. Either you're a fan and you think they're worth $200+... or you think that there are $50 knives out there that come close enough.I was curious about this H&K from Benchmade, at $30 it was worth a look. The action is smooth, but it does get stuck occasionally inside and it's hard to get going with the thumb-hole. Locks up tight, but drop it and the blade comes in... so i wouldn't rely on the liner lock to stop it from coming back on your hands (meaning no stabbing motions, only slicing). A positive is that there is absolutely no play when locked open. It came with a notice that the edge was so sharp that it deserved a warning sign. It wasn't sharp. at all. didn't even cut magazine paper. I put an edge on it easily enough, but the steal seems really soft, and it's goiing to require constant sharpening. The black finish came off after light use. It does seem solid, and able to withstand a beating, as long as you are capable of re-edging the blade and serrations you should be fine. Overall worth the price tag, but nothing to write home about.
