They should have chosen a different blade/wheel that would prevent cable or wire from falling off track.

I could send it back for another one but why would I expect it to be better?

It took a little getting used to but the stripper works very well. I knocked off at least 90% of the time needed to strip off the wire casing. A great product if you strip alot of wire for salvage.

The machine is what we needede to strip the three types of wire we were stripping.
It was a little hard to set the wheel to the to the smaller gauge, but after it was set the machine did it's job, fast and clean.
I have showed the machine to other menbers of my family and friends.and their remarks was this is something they would purchase.

Very good machine to have.

I had anticipated a tool that would make wire stripping easier. Unfortunately this did not live up to my expectations at all. Not even close. I mounted this to my workbench and went to work immediately attempting to strip some wire. The wires would constantly come off track and it would only cut about 4-8 inches before coming off track. I became a totally dissatisfied customer within an hour of using this piece of garbage. A friend of mine who has been scrapping for over 8 years tried it and told me I should ask for my money back. The seller on eBay gave me a runaround and to this day I have not received a refund or replacement of any kind. Needless to say, that seller got a very bad review from me and a few other people.

Do yourself a favor..Spend a little bit more money and make sure you get a 'satisfaction guarantee' before spending YOUR hard earned money. Otherwise, don't say I didn't warn you.

first of all the keeper ring that locks in the blade kept popping out.took it all apart an took a grinder to the ring.ground down some the edges so it will fit in the slot a little better.first pieces of wire stripped ok. but had to really work at it .then the keeper ring for the blade came off twice before i adjusted it.now the wire is not stripping at all.the v-shape wheel seems to have way to much play from side to side.still trying to get the bugs out.you think the maker of this would have done this before they started selling them.or is the old vacuum cleaner salesman bit.sell you something that doesn't work.glad i did not spend anymore then i did.

I thoroughly read the small instruction manual, made a real nice bench setup to pull an entire residential remodel worth of cable, starting out with the heavier #1 cables. Worked quite well, needing a bit more guidance than expected because the cable would get off track, regardless of how well I'd feed it or straight the cable was.

As soon as I got to the 12AWG, the first seventy or so feet went flawlessly. Now, for some crazy reason, I can't even keep the 12awg on track; it just pops right off in the first few inches of feeding.

I'm debating returning it and getting a better quality make because I still have over a thousand feet worth of 12 and 14 gauge to strip.

The flaw with the design is that the cutting well doesn't fit flush with the guiding wheels, allowing a gap and the cables to slip right off the blade. They should have chosen a different blade/wheel that would prevent cable or wire from falling off track.

This works well for the thick wire, but often comes of track.. You have to build something to mount it to, it is not what i expected at all.. Does not work for anything but the thick wire and then it's not reliable. I should have bought a better stripping machine, this was a waiste of my money..
