Review
Holy time travel Batman! Michelle Miles is an engaging author with a very vivid imagination. I cannot wait to read more books from Michelle Miles in the near future. She is truly an amazingly gifted writer. --5 angels, Fallen Angel Reviews
Dane is far from the typical romance hero but Michelle Miles won me over with his characterization despite his violent acts and shady occupation. Skye's emotions jumped off the page and the action is taut and well-plotted. --4.5 lips, TwoLips Reviews
A Bend in Time has everything you could want: bad guys, good guys, time travel, and lots more. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time. This was a fast paced, nail biting story. Intrigue around every corner, all the way to the very end.
From the Author
Ransom & Fortune began as a serial in 2004 when I decided I wanted to write a time travel. That's all I knew at the time. The title characters, Skye Ransom and Dane Fortune, came about in an unusual way - they were all baby names considered before my son was born (and he doesn't bear any of these names!).
I always wanted a character named Skye, and the original version of the serial was The Adventures of Skye Ransom, but I thought that sounded pretty boring so I threw in a hit man for good measure. And then I asked myself, "What if that hit man followed her back in time to carry out his hit?" Figuring out the logistics from there was difficult, but I managed and that's when The Adventures of Ransom & Fortune was born.
Skye and Dane are the only two recurring characters and carry the story. I wondered - what would you do if you were stuck in the past and there was a hit man on your tail? But the kicker was - the hit man really didn't want to kill her. Instead, he fell in love with her.I hope you enjoy reading The Adventures of Ransom & Fortune as much as I've enjoyed writing their journey.
