Terrific Medieval love by an author who makes the era sing,
By A Customer
This review is from: On Bended Knee (Mass Market Paperback)
Because of her lameness, Seana has always been considered a witch to be shunned by her peers. As an adult all she wants out of life is to marry Broc Ceannifionn, the one person when they were children, who wiped away her tears. Broc is uninterested in Seana, so she turns to his best friend, Scotia's worst rogue, Colin Mac Brodie, for help. As a child, Seana loved Colin, but his taunts broke her heart. Colin does not recognize the beautiful adult Seana, but finds himself in love with her. He cannot fathom why she wants Broc instead of him, but he intends to make her his intended. However, before he can place his own plan into motion, Colin and Seana have an unknown assailant from their past stalking them, one who seeks vengeance and if that includes killing the duo, so be it. Medieval Scotland seems to come to life in the capable hands of the ultra-talented Tanya Anne Crosby. Her latest novel, ON BENDED KNEE, is a fabulous romance, filled with warm protagonists, a vile villain, and a well-designed story line that will electrify sub-genre fans. The return of old favorites from THE MACKINNIN'S BRIDE and LYON'S GIFT help propels the plot forward while adding to the fun and excitement. As expected, Ms. Crosby scribes another terrific tale of medieval love. Harriet Klausner

I loved this book!,

Ms. Crosby's books always leave me smiling, and this one is no exception! I give it four stars and not five, only because the dialect is a little thick in this one. But it's still a great story, with heart warming characters. Ms. Crosby, if you're reading this, give us Broc's story now!

Loved It,
By Stephanie (Chester, IL United States) - See all my reviews

This is the first book I've read by this author and I intend to read more. The main complaint I have is that there were obvious references to characters from her other books and I had not read those yet so I wasn't sure at times what she was talking about. I didn't care for the Scottish dialect in conversation...towards the end I was tired of deciphering. But the actual characters and story I got into. I haven't read a romance with humor in awhile and I found it refreshing and laughed out loud several times. I'll definitely be reading her other books
