I said I liked it.
I first purchased one of these units in about 1947. It was my mothers money, so naturelly she had a cow for waisting all her funds. (fifty Cents). After tasting a 'pie' I made for her, she braged how I buy the cleaverest things. There was one of these toasters in my household ever sence. The one recently purchased was for my 50 year old daughter who rembers the goodies...

Absolute Junk!
I realize it was only 6 bucks, but someone (or company) actually stole my money knowing full well that this product does not and could not EVER work the way it was supposed to! Even after coating both sides of the press with tons of PAM & Butter (so much that I would never even think of actually eating the sandwich), the bread still sticks to the "cheap-metal" sides like...

I realize it was only 6 bucks, but someone (or company) actually stole my money knowing full well that this product does not and could not EVER work the way it was supposed to! Even after coating both sides of the press with tons of PAM & Butter (so much that I would never even think of actually eating the sandwich), the bread still sticks to the "cheap-metal" sides like super glue! Bene Casa's sanwich press is probably the worst designed product I have ever purchased. How about using a non-stick material (teflon) to make a product that actually works as advertised.

This product is perfect! I remember having this flying saucer sandwich when I was young. Very easy to use. Just apply light coat of Pam or oil spray and put the sandwich shaper above the stove. Fun and easy to use!!!

Don't buy,

This product is a pain in the gas. It works, but the clean up of the press is so time consuming it works off all the calories you just spent your precious time consuming. The bread sticks to the press and it almost impossible to clean off. I used this with an electric stove, to be fair, and this may not be the best use of the press. |
