4.0 out of 5 stars RAW&MESSY.-EVERYTHING NEW YORK HARDCORE WAS ABOUT.
I HAD THIS ONE ON CASSETTE, AND NOW ON CD. IT'S A MUST HAVE FOR ANY HARDCORE/PUNK COLLECTION ESPECIALLY NYHC.ALTHOUGH I CAN RAVE ABOUT THE ALBUM FOREVER IT DOES HAVE IT'S FALTS. EVEN NOW WITH THE REMASTERD CD AVAILABLE THE ORIGIONAL RECORDING WAS A BIT LOW BUDGET SO THE SOUND QUALITY BY TODAY'S STANDARDS IS LACKING.THIS IS THE ONLY REASON THIS ONE GETS 4 OF 5...

2.0 out of 5 stars Bah.....
This album is completely overrated. I haven't heard the CD, but I have the vinyl from years ago. The only good song on here is "The Edge", which is amazing. "Jaybird" is MUCH better.

From 'beneath the streets' is, to my opinion, a very good album from an amazing 'old style hardcore' band. The songs are powerfull and are displaying a large variety of 'emotions'... I consider this album as 'a must have'. So, any interested in NYHC should purchase this one...

When I saw "From Beneath thr Streets" in my local record store I flipped out. I used to have this on cassette and it was lost for many years, but certainly not forgotten.I'm so glad this was re-released,and I hope the rest of my faves keep coming.
