After falling in love with the gorgeous cover art, which is key to alluring a potential buyer like myself (I'm drawn to all things pretty), I found 'Benediction Moon' used. At the time I was ecstatic because it was originally out of stock and while I initially had a good feeling about it, I had no idea the impact it would have on me. The album opens up with the emotion filled "Radhe" which literally sent me in tears. Few songs have the power to do that and because someone precious to me passed away the night I first got this in the mail, I feel like this song is a message from the one I lost, letting me know they're okay and that they're at peace now. As a whole this record is rather somber but never have I heard a voice sing with such intense passion before. I feel the pain and joy in her words so strongly that the listener ends up experiencing them with her, and it won't come and go. It will run deep and stay with you long after the last note plays out.

Pia may not have a huge range and she may never become a well-known new age artist like Enya is but her angelic, crystal clear voice and the beautiful, serene soundscapes of calm yet uplifting relaxation will engulf and reach far into your soul, making you feel things you've never felt before by letting a simple piece of music wash over you. As it says in the CD booklet, 'Pia sings to express her feelings, to even release negative emotions in a positive way through singing', which is sometimes needed when your badly wounded, so 'free your mind and heart and be happy'.

I heard this CD (Benediction Moon by Pia) for the first time several years ago during a meditation-session.
Her angel-like voice is beautiful.

Prayer is absolutely beautiful. I seek lyrics for it everywhere, only to come up with nothing. I adore the song, its haunting yet melodic piece is breathtaking. Everything is just so harmonious.

once in a while a voice of such quality and beauty rises up that it transcends all musical styles and cultures. pia has such a voice. her gentle, echoing vocals and the enigmatic arrangements create a warm, heavenly sound. it is a gorgeous collection of heartfelt songs. if you like enya and clannad you will adore pia's benediction moon having listened to pia's benediction moon, i can tell you with some authority that beauty is alive and kicking in this world! this cd, recorded in essex, england came to me by way of california and was at the bottom of a pile of other recordings. it lay un-opened and un-played for three long days. finally, i placed it into my player and the sounds that came forth were an epiphany. i was enthralled and enraptured by this cd after just one listen. i know that this enchanting recording will continue to be played by me for a very long time.

pia guarangi sings to express her feelings, to even release negative emotions in a positive way through singing. she sings from the heart. the spiritual aspect of pia's music is very important to her. pia has performed with artists such as boy george, john richardson and dream academy. benediction moon is her first recording

PIA HAS AN AMAZING, HYPNOTIC, NEARLY ANGELIC VOICE. I SAW HER IN CONCERT IN ENGLAND 3 TIMES, AND I WEPT WITH THE SHEER PURITY & BEAUTY IN HER VOICE. LIVE, SHE TOUCHES THE HEART AND THE SOUL SO DEEPLY, WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS . SHE IS PHENOMNINAL! BENEDICTION MOON IS HER BEST EFFORT SO FAR. ON THE ALBUM, SHE IS GREAT BUT THE VOCALS DO NOT HAVE THE SAME EFFECT FOR ME.PERHAPS IT IS HER SONG CHOICES. tHE BEST ARE RHADE AND ANGELUS CANTUS. (STILL, IT'S GLORIOUS!) I RECOMMEND ALL 3 OF HER CDs.

I have recently begun to use this music in my yoga clasess and meditation groups. My clients and students are enthralled with its haunting yet liquid beauty. I'm always asked for the name of the CD because my clients want to buy it--in fact, I wish I had the distribution channel for this album, I'd be singing all the way to the bank. I recommend this album to anyone who loves to be surrounded by beautiful music or to use as background for a peaceful yoga session. Can't wait for more PIA music to follow. I certainly hope this is not the end!

From the very first seconds of this music one can be just charmed. What is this? Where, from what worlds this divine music, this heavenly voice and this splendor brought by "Benediction Moon" by Pia (Guarangi Devi Dasi) come from?

And only peace, calmness and shining moon giving rest and little warmth to a tired heart. And - a harmony, overflowed around. All this is music by Pia. It is very beautiful. It has a rare quality of being really religious and the deepest sincerity (I would even say, nakedness). Maybe that is because all the heart of the performer is put into the music. And you are just charmed by this spirit, by this purity. And you are just floating on the waves, being lead by this amazing woman.

"Benediction Moon" really became a stunning debut by Pia. The album's music contains both embracing depth of electronic keyboards, and illusory multiple voices, reviving in our memory Enya and "Clannad". Yes, the music by Pia is related to them. And with this it is very individual. There is a special transparency and delicate Oriental aroma in Pia's music, which is revealed in her singing and in meditative spirit of the album. To the point, Pia has many tours, performing Bhajans - traditional Indian spiritual songs. She has performed with such famous musicians as Boy George, Jonh Richardson and Dream Academy. From Pia's singing originates something ethereal, something subtle, like a fragrance of aroma oils.

What can I add? This album is a musical prayer. It is as beautiful as beautiful is a woman in love.

This is the very best debut album I have heard. Pia has written and performed songs that just take your breath away. Angelus Cantus should have been a Top 10 single in the UK. Wow! Are there any more Pia albums due?

Filling the room, her enchantress seduces the listener with an elan few can imagine. A true delight! Octave nirvana tugs @ you everyway imaginable. Sensational. There are weaknesses @ the production level. @ times there is a two-dimensional quality (particularly @ the background), that distort briefily. Still, GREAT!
