3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't live up to hype
Had to have this when all the magazines raved about it. Pretty packaging, and the color is nice in the box..still, doesn't show up on me as a "blush". It is called a face powder, so if one wanted to use allover for a glow, it could be better that way.

Now that I'm old enough that exerting my independence no longer matters, I'm reverting to the delicate colors Mom always favored. Dandelion blush by BeneFit is the perfect blush for just about everyone- a lovely ballet slipper pink that dusts on effortlessly and leaves a youthful, dewey glow. Plus, I love bringing out that impossibly cute little box and having women say, "Where did you get that?!?". Try BeneFit's "Georgia" blush for a more salmon colored hue.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pink powder in a cute box, May 21, 2004
This is packaged in a lovely square box like Chinese rice powder, with a Chinese style brush. The powder is medium pale pink, and thus it will NOT show on darker complexions. Either you swear by this as the best powder all over blush ever, or it just doesn't show up. So beware.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best powder finish I've bought, July 20, 2005
Benefit is such a great line, and Dandelion is an incredible powder finish. It makes my skin look soft and glowy. I use it over CoverGirl's tinted moisturizer Smoother for an ultra natural look. This is one of my staples. I hate spending anything more than ten minutes on makeup, preferably five. For a girl who likes minimal fussing and hates the weight of caky finishes, this is a winner!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Face Colour ( fair to med), May 2, 2009
By

This review is from: Benefit Cosmetics Dandelion (Misc.)
Although I am fair-ish, I can see others benefitting from this light pink colour. It has buildable tint that gives a subtle healthy glow. I apply it to the apples of my cheeks with the awesome included brush, a dab on my forehead, nose and chin, and Hey, Presto! I look naturally flushed, maybe as if I just came in from the sun, without a potential burn, or real exertion. I never suffer from that over-blushed appearance either. Does any of this make sense? I just love this stuff and am happy I sprung for it. Plus it has a mild scent that's divine!! "Dandelions" aren't PINK, but so what? I love it enough to bother writing about it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Small, but packs a punch on lighter complexions, May 31, 2006
By
Other reviewers are correct--this stuff is a ballerina pink that (I strongly suspect) would never show up on a complexion lighter than say, mid-medium. If you're fair of face, the powder spreads on with tiny (and I mean barely visible) specks of shimmer that won't make you look glittery, but instead reflect light to give you that nice pink glow when you're feeling off-kilter.

This could be used as either a blush or what it's marketed as, and that's an all-over face color. It doesn't show up on my skin as necessarily pink, but lends it a nice, light, healthy flush that looks great with whatever other shades of makeup or colors of clothing I'm wearing. Some women change their blush to match their outfits; this stuff looks good with just about everything because it's so natural.

The box is small, and what you're getting is a pressed powder set within a rice paper box. You actually tote the little box and its cute brush around inside. I know that seems kind of silly to note, but when you see the box itself, it's a little surprising. And it's up to you on whether or not you use the brush--I like it because I want very specific coverage, but if you want to be dusted all over, use a big powder brush.

For women with darker skin tones who want a nice glow like this one, I suggest Benefit Dallas--you lucky gals get to use a pink/berry powder with a bronzer that those of us with very light skin couldn't carry off.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heavenly, August 28, 2004
Dandelion is a finishing powder, but can also be used as a blush. I love putting this rose-scented powder as my last step to brighten up my face. It really does leave your skin with a 'petal like finish' as the company claims. I also use it on all my girlfriends before we go out at night! The cute little box and brush make it all the more better!

4.0 out of 5 stars I can see how this is pretty..., October 30, 2005

I can say that I like Benefit's Dandelion. I might even love it. It DOES give you a soft rosy color over your face, very light and very feminine and beautiful. However, because I have fairly sensitive skin, the fragrance in it causes me to break out. I believe if there wasn't fragrance, I would give this product 5 stars. And I know not everyone is allergic to fragranced powders, but just incase, I just wanted to warn people who might be allergic. Otherwise, this product is the perfect finishing step to a beautiful face and perfect for your purse. I'm actually pretty disappointed that I can't use it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Blush Ever, January 12, 2007
This is the best blush for fair skin tones. Great for all over color too.
The brush you get is perfect for applying to cheeks. I use it everyday and it gives you a healthy glow.

5.0 out of 5 stars The ultimate blusher, December 4, 2005
By
Amanda (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
I have very pale skin which often looks dull, yet finding a blusher which looked natural was hard.

My search is over. DANDELION is my number 1 choice; it's so natural & is so easy to apply. I'm quite heavy handed first thing in the morning, yet DANDELION never looks artificial.

I have no complaints about this product. A+

5.0 out of 5 stars Best blush ever for lighter skin tones, June 22, 2004
By A Customer
I love this blush. It's perfect for me, my sister, and my mom and all three of us have VERY different color skin tones. I American Indian in me and tan easily, it still works on a tan. It smells good too!
