5.0 out of 5 stars Best powder out there!
I have used pressed powder everyday since I was 12, so I've tried just about every brand on the market today. I used to use Clinique's pressed powder, but I was always bothered by its sweet scent, and I have very sensitive skin, so the combination of the pore-clogging makeup and scent always made my skin itch and break out. Not pretty. I switched to Benefit's Get Even...

3.0 out of 5 stars ---
I went to the Bloomingdales in Huntington and had a makeover done by the lady there at the Benefit counter. She suggested I get the Get Even #2 which is for everyone if you aren't sure what to get. It really isn't for everyone. I am fair skinned and it made me look orange. I'm not sure who would look good in number 2

I used to use Clinique's pressed powder, but I was always bothered by its sweet scent, and I have very sensitive skin, so the combination of the pore-clogging makeup and scent always made my skin itch and break out. Not pretty. I switched to Benefit's Get Even about 2 years ago...and I'm sticking with it. My skin has never looked so even and pimple-free. My advice to those who are fair-skinned...buy color 01. I tried the 02 and felt it was too dark for my skin. If you have a tan, go for 02.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best, February 28, 2006

This products rocks! I have some red blotchy spots that are sometimes wose than others. I have always used a foundation and powder. Now I only use Get Even. I don't need anything else and I can tell you in the TX heat that is a great thing! Personally I prefer a brush for application, but I always have for powders. It also doesn't give you that blank slate look of foundation and powder. It looks more natural and fresh yet finished. Beautiful. I have recommended it to others and they love it too. I have not had it break or shatter. I have had other pressed powders break when they were in my purse, but not this one. I don't consider it fragile.

I hate feeling like I'm hiding under layers of foundation, powder and oily skin. This product is perfect for flawless and full- yet light coverage. It evens out redness and general uneven skin without looking or smothering your skin at all. Using Dr. Feelgood then this powder has changed everything about my makeup routine. I love it!

This prodict works as it claims. It does even out skin tones, and absorb oil. Was definitely worth the money.

I absolutely love this stuff! I have red cheeks, and I've always had to cake on the makeup to cover them up. But with Get Even, I just brush on a little and they're covered all day. Notice I said "brush", though. Don't use the pad that comes with it or you'll put WAY too much on and it will show.

it's very fragile. They should package it in foam and stamp it fragile. I LOVE it and it does what it says it will. Just take care not to bang it or drop it cause the pressed powder inside will shatter. It's happened to me twice already.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it !, January 30, 2007
This review is from: Benefit Cosmetics Get Even (Misc.)
I have very Oily Skin. My face is always shiney and I could never find a powder to make it more matte looking. This is a winner. I put it on at 6:30am this morning right after my shower and now it's 5pm and my makeup looks just as fresh which is amazing to me. Normally I looked washed out by this time, cause my makeup would be mostly off by now. Seems to set the makeup very nicely. More expensive then I normally would of paid for a powder but worth it ! Sometimes you get what you pay for and sometimes you don't .. But in this Case I think it was worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this stuff!, July 9, 2005

It is really great on covering up extremely red cheeks or anything like that... and it also takes care of greasy shine and it makes it look like a healthy glow.

3.0 out of 5 stars I really wanted to love this, January 20, 2008
This review is from: Benefit Cosmetics Get Even (Misc.)
Based on the excellent reviews, I wanted to love this product. I have finely-textured skin with a little pinkness on my cheeks and chin that I like to cover. When I applied Get Even #2 in the Sephora store, it appeared to do the job, so I purchased it. But when I went out to my car and took a close look at my skin in full sun, I was disappointed to see my never-before-visible blond facial hairs screaming LOOK AT ME under the weight of the powder. Even worse, I could see little divots of beige inside every pore on my face. I was looking for natural. What I got instead was an obvious made-up look.

For covering redness, as well as for a sheer, natural look, I have not yet found anything that beats Vincent Longo Water Canvas Creme-To-Powder Foundation. It's pricey, but it does what it claims on my skin. I also love the mineral powders, particularly Jane Iredale, but Urban Decay Surreal Skin Mineral Makeup is very nice, too.
