So I like benefit products and have a few items from them that I really love (eyeshadows, lipsticks) but I have to say I won't be using this foundation anymore. I bought is about a month ago and have used it almost everyday in a number of different ways (quantities, areas of the face) and it really seems to make me look worse than when I either just skip foundation and only use concealer on my problem areas, or when I use my fave go-to face makeup Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer..

The problem with it is that is REALLY settles into fine lines, aging me by about 3-5 years. I am about 6 mos away from being thirty and I have the kind of lines that can really go either way - with no makeup, or the right makeup, you can't really see them.. I use makeup to cover acne breakouts and scars which APPARENTLY never stop, no matter how old you get (dammit!!) But with this makeup all sorts of lines come out in my face that I never even realized were there - smile lines, crows feet. ICK! So I'm back to my usual system and already looking younger and more vibrant.

I would recommend this product for a teenager who wants to cover up breakouts while protecting from the sun, or someone in their early twenties with zero wrinkles, and I really mean zero because if you have any it will make them SHOW!

What a complete waste of money. I am mid-thiries and with only a few tiny wrinkles around the eye area. With the right moisturiser, primer and foundation these wrinkles are not visible.

I came across this foundation in store, and got the assistant to try it out on me. It did look fantastic in-store - a perfect colour match, with a superb dewy, medium coverage. Plus it felt-ultra light on my skin. I therefore purchased a bottle, and went about the rest of my shopping.

Two hours later I returned to my car, and looked in the mirror to see how my new foundation was holding up. I was horrified to see that the make-up had settled into all the fine lines around my eyes, it looked truly awful and I have never had such a thing happen with foundation before. I looked at least ten years older :-/

I noticed that the make-up doesn't seem to 'adhere' to your skin in the way that other foundations do - instead it 'sits on top of' your face, and any movement of your face, such as the natural crinking of the eye area when you squint or laugh, makes the make-up shift position and collect in places where you don't want it to collect. The make-up was also dislodged where I had unthinkingly touched my face.

This got worse and worse as the day went on. I was constantly having to smooth with my fingers the make-up around my eye area as it would NOT stop settling into my fine lines. The make-up was a complete patchy mess by the end of the day.

In conclusion - this purchase was a mistake, a very bad mistake. Shame on Benefit for releasing such a formulation. Most laughable that they claim this foundation was three years in the making.

I have an arsenal of tools to aid the application of foundation; so if fingers, brushes, sponges (and all the ways to use them) can't get a smooth application, it's time to admit the product may be the cause.

On top of that, their lightest color was still too dark. A sales associate at Ulta was eager to have me try this and swore it would look great on my uneven skintone. When I tested some on my hand and commented how yellow it was, she chirped, "Yellow counteracts red!" Really? I remember mixing red and yellow in art class and getting orange! And yes, that is just what happened. I took home the 10 day sample size after putting some of this on in the store (it looked dark in there too but I wanted to try it). I have never seen a foundation in this price point, look so spackled, so thick, so line-enhancing, or oxidize so heavily on my face.

It seemed to congeal on my face and it felt like I had a thick rubber mask on, and I used a very light hand applying it! No matter how I applied it, it looked and felt bad all day long. No help for it. I hate to say it but I've had cheap drugstore foundations that looked and felt better than this! Even nasty Cover Girl. So sad.

I have several cosmetic pieces by Benefit; tinted moisturizer and hello flawless powder. Sephora generated an email promoting Benefits new product Hello flawless the liquid with an oxygen component. I was curious how it would look because the powder provides a matte finish. Well I was attending a party and was very tired. I put his on with some mascara, gloss and blush...Good morning sunshine! I instantly looked awake and my skin natural and flawless. What I like about their products is that I sill look natural. I'm an African-American female and sometimes it is hard to find coverage that looks natural. I don't feel overdone with products by Benefit. Good buy:0)

I got this makeup at the recommendation of an Ulta consultant as a formula that won't break me out. Something about bacteria not being able to live in Oxygen. Well, I am dubious about that to begin with, but this makeup clogs my pores so the anti-bacteria properties don't really help much. I kept thinking, it couldn't be this makeup. So I eliminated the other parts of my routine one-by-one (including argan oil!), until I just switched brands. Voila. No more acne. On top of that, this makeup "sits" on top of my face and slides around throughout the day. It's not cute. I was so done with it for a long time, and long after I switched brands I tried it one more time yesterday. Got some new pimples. I was clear before. :(

And this might be nit-picky.. but when I got the ivory color it has a sub-title that says "I'm pure for sure." That's a little... weird for the whitest skin tone, ya know? White = pure, or what are you saying exactly? Overall not pleased with this product at all.
