About the Author

Matthew McElligott (mattmcelligott.com) is the author of such books as Even Monsters Need Haircuts and The Lion's Share. His favorite foods are blood oranges, vegetarian blood pudding, and, of course, cookies. He sports a handsome beard, mainly due to the fact that he casts no reflection, making it difficult to shave.

Larry Tuxbury has written two books and read literally dozens more. By night, he sleeps in a casket in a basement outside Albany, NY. By day, he sleeps in his classroom at the real Farnsworth Middle School, where he teaches language arts to aspiring vampires.

Format: Hardcover
This book has been in our house 24 hours, and has already been read once by my 10 year old and 1.5 times by my 7 year old. They both had to be threatened/cajoled into putting it down to eat and go to school. I haven't gotten to it myself yet, but am looking forward to it -- the first book was a lot of fun and pitch perfect for late elementary school students -- funny, exciting, and not too scary. A great choice.

Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Waited for the paperback version but this was a must have after reading "Benjamin Franklinstein Lives!" When it says, "for ages 8 and up" ... that includes a 50 year old and her 80 year old mother! Must have great imagination, an appreciation for great writing and a working familiarity with history. Great for middle and high schoolers - as well as old farts! Fun book - can't wait for the Benjamin Franklinstein Meets Thomas Deadison to come out in paperback - all books will be donated to local library ... they are a must-share!
