A. Benjamin's Klooogs!!!

...because very few libraries are going to add this to their collection.
The poems in this book are one of the most amusing aspects. English teachers: if you're looking for a "what-not-to-do" example while teaching poetry, this is the book for you. In fact, this holds true for the prose writing in "Klooogs", as well. Very odd book. Could definitely benefit from a good editing or seven.

I suppose there are two methods for approaching this book. On one level, you could approach it as a serious self-help book, in which case you would immediately be lost in the author's complete lack of grammar and incoherent and somewhat psychotic ramblings.

On the other hand, you could approach it as something of an amusement, in which case it ceases to be amusing when you start to realize that the author could probably benefit from some serious psychological help.

This, coupled with the fact that (in my copy at least) several sections of the book are missing entirely, add up to a very strange book indeed.

I can't recommend this to anyone, especially at the suggested retail price. This book will not help anyone, as the author starts each of his stories and then goes off into disconnected ramblings which ultimately lead nowhere.

A curious amusement, but little else.

On the other hand, if you're into disturbing stream-of-consciousness and self-deprecation, perhaps this would be right up your alley.

Klooogs!!! is an insightful book. Understanding problems through the concept of the Klooog has changed my life. I highly recommend this book; Don't have a Klooog, read the book!
