Always improving content, online companion that goes with the text. THE ID text of choice. The cover art is the only part that is worse than previous editions.

Nothing really change in the format compared with the past others, but the review of the subjects is great.

As a relatively new infection prevention nurse, I decided I needed a more in-depth text for infectious diseases. Since I don't have ready access to an ID physician, this is an excellent resource, thorough, with useful and descriptive diagrams and illustrations. The on-line text is superb, with comprehensive, easy to use search capability. The texts are heavy, so it is especially appreciated to have the on-line source so that I don't have to carry the books back and forth to work each day. I am also using it to help supplement my study for the Certification Exam in Infection Control. I recommend it highly to anyone in infection prevention and control as a valuable resource in performing their role.

The book is well researched, and is comprehensive in its coverage of infectious diseases. It is a good start for researching infectious diseases topics. The consult accessible with this book is regularily updated, and the image library (which mirrors the book, is good for papers and for powerpoint presentations. Overall highly recommended for infectious diseases.

I have not read the entire book, however, I have read a couple of chapters related to antimicrobial agents as it relates to my field of study. The information is quite comprehensive. I would highly recommend this book because the format is detailed and the information is easy to follow. This book would be a great source of reference for anyone interested in infectious diseases and related fields.

I have read this book since the first edition of 1979 and this 7 ed is the best of all. Complete. This is the best book about infectoogy
