Ben's in love with two girls who just happen to be sisters. He's in love with Claire, his ex-girlfriend, and her sister, Nina, his long time great friend. He tries to sort out how he really feels and in the end, I think he's learned who he truly loves...for now.

I first read this book back when it was first published, when the series was called Boyfriends/Girlfriends and not the assinine Making Out. At any rate, I loved it then and I love it today. I've read the first eight of the series around twelve times, and I'm really glad Katherine Applegate is finally coming out with some new additions. I just about fainted when I first saw number nine on the shelf when I was stocking shelves at the bookstore where I work. So I highly recommend this book, along with the first eight of the series- the newest additions to the series so far have kind of been disappointing.

Problems, problems, and more problems,

Honestly, could things get any MORE messed up on this island? Anyway. When we last left the people of Chatham Island, there was the big homecoming dance in which Lucas was named Homecoming King and Zoey WASN'T named Queen. So now we get to see what goes on there. Plus, Aisha is really angry at Christopher -- who's been two-timing her. But she can't seem to stop thinking about him. And Claire still wants Jake -- does Jake want her? With Nina and Ben, well, their's seems to be the only relatioinship NOT messed up, except that they can't seem to figure out how they feel about each other!

ooooooooooooohhhhh! i could cry. i'm so glad that ninny and ben (or 'benjamin' scince he dosen't like ben)get together. nina has had this major crush on him and she is still getting over her uncle. which i think is just the sickest and lowest thing any piece of scum could do to a human being. anyway, this book has to be one of my favorites in the series. plus i just love nina and ben.(ha)oh and one more question, WHY do the books descride aisha's hair as being 'long, springy,an explosion of bouncy curls' and on the cover of book 8 her hair is shorter than the thinning hair on the top of my gramp's head and not a curl in sight? i need an answer. i'm so very confused.

Ben's In Love is one of my favorites in the Making Out books that I have read so far. It has a lot of emotions in it, with Nina coming out of her protected shell of emotions, Claire finally deciding what she wants to do with the "situation" with Josh, Lucas being homecoming king, and Chris getting hurt, and with that, Aisha discovering her true feelings about Chris. Also Ben and Nina's relationship starts blooming. It's definentaly one that you wouldn't want to skip. This is why I gave Ben's In Love 5 stars.

As the rest of the books in this series, Ben's in Love was good but... after reading #3 in the series (which was excellent by the way) I had expected something better. It was a little slow, but still great. This series is really great for teenagers because we can relate to a lot of the problems the kids on Chatam Island are facing.

This is a good story about love, dating and other guy-girl things. The thing is, it's not really about Ben and his love life, but everyone ELSES love life! You really want to know what happens and you guess until the very last page. It is great!!!!
