5.0 out of 5 stars Give Bezino some respect
This album isn't bad for his first solo release! Most people are hating it lately cause he beefed with Eminem! Also most people sleep on Benzino's production skills. He made almost all the beats on this album! Sure his rhyme aren't the most complex but it gets the job done, there are so many worst rappers then him! 1.0 out of 5 stars come on yo
man i would never buy this album, i listened to a friends copy, more or less all the way through and i have to say (and this isnt just hating) this album is horrible yo. if you think that this is what hip hop should be...then you obviously watched too much mtv yo. its nasty and cheap and realistically hasbenzino should go back to co-owning that wack, over-commercial...

5.0 out of 5 stars Give Bezino some respect, January 11, 2003

This album isn't bad for his first solo release! Most people are hating it lately cause he beefed with Eminem! Also most people sleep on Benzino's production skills. He made almost all the beats on this album! Sure his rhyme aren't the most complex but it gets the job done, there are so many worst rappers then him! Standout songs Bang ta dis, Feel your Pain, Any Questions(My favorate track), No Parts of us, Figadoh(my second favorate), The Jump up and boottee(Nobody can front on this club banger)! I would rather pick The Benzino Remix Project over this, cause it has all these songs except it has the bang ta dis remix featuring prodigy and bars n hooks, the boottee remix featuring Fabolous and G-Dep, and the Figadoh remix featuring Busta and M.O.P.!

All and all a good album, not great but far from horrible! His new album Redemption is much better! I'd cop that before getting any other Benzino album!

4.0 out of 5 stars Forget the beef, this is what hip hop needs more of., September 26, 2003

Ok, so I'll be the first to admit that Benzino shoulda kept quiet about Shady, but on giving this album a listen, I gotta say that this is a damn good CD. What hip hop has been missing since Pac left us is what 'Zino tries to bring back. Sure, he's not exactly a great lyricist, but production is tight, the album gets high points on production, and the guest list of M.C.'s and singers is top notch. "Feel Yo Pain" featuring the Outlaws is probably the high point of the CD, and features some of Benzino's best rhymes. Hip Hop is sorely lacking albums that have more than a couple of songs worth hearing, but "The Benzino Project" is full of songs you will listen to again and again. Hell, unbelievable as it seems, even P. Diddy rips it on the second track. I highly recommend this CD as opposed to 'Zino's second album, which suffered from the sophomore curse of hip hop. THIS IS TRUE HIP HOP! We need more albums of this caliber- its the only thing that can save rap music.

5.0 out of 5 stars BANG TA DIS, November 2, 2001
By
This review is from: Benzino Project (Audio CD)
Aight, aight...seems like you either love or hate the Made Men. Whatever your views, after listenin to the Benzino Project it becomes obvious that no matter how you feel, this boy from Boston has some serious heat on this album. The guest features alone pack enough rap and r&b star power to feel up a high-caliber compilation. The Outlawz, Black Rob, Scarface, Snoop Dogg,Foxy Brown, Pink and even Bobby Brown show up on cuts. You would think it'd be easy for Benzino to be overshadowed on his own "project", truth is though that this cat has charisma and he brings it relentlessly from beginning to end. With the single "Boottee" already making noise Benz shows that he can still come gritty on tracks like 'Feel you Pain' and 'Boston Ni@@az'. Basically this album is a banger and Benzino proves hes not playin around with music u can definitely bang to.

The first time i heard Benzino was when the Made Men cd came out.
I was feelin that cd and its still one of my favorites . Ray represents Boston again with his solo album The Benzino Project .
When i heard Bang Ta Dis I knew that the cd would be tight . So as soon as i seen it was out i copped it.This album is dope as
hell .The thing i like best about Benzino is all his songs got a different feel to em.Like Cash Money for instance almost all of there songs sound the same.I like Cash Money but they do need some different sounding beats. Anyway Ray Benzino has proved that
cats from Boston got skills too.Im feelin pretty much every track on here.My favorite tracks
are Who is Benzino,Bang Ta Dis,We Reppen Y'all,Figadoe, and like i said i like em all . So go get The Benzino Project you wont regret it . Peace

5.0 out of 5 stars WHERE'S HIS PROPS?, June 30, 2002
This review is from: Benzino Project (Audio CD)
THIS ALBUM IS ONE INCREDIBLE ALBUM, AND I'M NOT JUST SAYING THIS BECAUSE HE CO-OWNS THE SOURCE. BENZINO HASN'T BEEN GIVEN THE PROPER RESPECT HE DESERVES. I MEAN, EVERY TIME HE DROPS AN ALBUM, HE GET DROPED FROM THE LABEL THAT PUT IT OUT A FEW MONTHS LATER BECAUSE THE CD HASN'T DOEN WELL IN RECORD SALES. I BELIVE THAT HE IS ALSO OVER LOOK AS A TALENTED LYRISCIST.THE STRONGEST STRENGTH OF THE ALBUM LIES WITHIN THE COMBINATION OF BENZINO AND TEDDY RIELY. HOPEFULLY THESE TWO WILL WORK TOGETHER AGAIN AND MAKE ANOTHER BANGER LIKE THEY DID "BOOTTEE" AND "FIGADOGH"

4.0 out of 5 stars Too ,many haters, February 22, 2005
This review is from: Benzino Project (Audio CD)
To many haters, hating this album just because he dissed Eminem. What's very funny is that this album came out in 2001. And Benzino started beefing with Eminem in 2003. Now all the ratings on the album from 2001 - 2003 are all positive and getting good reviews. Then 2 years after the album was released it all a sudden get's lots of negative 1 ratings. With no reviews of the album or any of the songs. Just I hate Benzino, he's wack blah blah. Don't you get it, these people dissing the album ain't even heard it. They just mad because he's beefing with their hero. The Benzino Project is slept on. The production is great from begining to end. Alot of dope tracks like
Bang Ta Dis
Any Questions
Figadoh
No parts of me
Arch Nemesis is better. But this album is nowhere near as bad as these people say it is. Listen to it for yourself you'll like it.
