4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Overview, April 14, 2000
This review is from: Beothuk of Newfoundland a Vanished People (Paperback)
This was a very good book. It focuses more on the life of the Beothuk people rather than the history of their interaction with the European Settlers of Newfoundland, although that sad part of history is also represented. The artwork was quite well done. The book is more of an overview than an extremely detailed account. I was able to get a good picture of just how well the Beothuk had adapted to and prospered in a hostile environment. The tragic story of their extinction is presented from a neutral point of view.
