Beowulf (Dover Classic Stories Coloring Book)

I am one of the rare college English majors that actually likes Beowulf and, being a big fan of coloring books, knew I had to buy this book as soon as I found out it existed. Best $3.95 I ever spent.
This book is detailed and well-researched; I have the Beowulf book on CD and all the pictures of the characters, weapons, and gear line up with the story (except the colors, that's up to you!). The armor is from the right time period, and the text is a good summary of the book.
Also, while the original poem is quite gory, the coloring book pictures are not, so it would be suitable for middle schoolers or younger kids just being introduced to the epic. Grendel and his mother are a little scary, but not too bad. This would be a great book for boys to color; there isn't a sissy or romantic scene in it. It's all kings, warriors, monsters, treasure, and dragons.
My English professor in college would have probably generated more enthusiasm in Beowulf if she had used this version in class!
