If this is what I think it is, this is the rerelease of Beowulf's first two albums on one disc. Beowulf were a mid-to-late-80s Cali skater/thrash metal band, similar in sound, style, and spirit to Suicidal Tendencies, but also borrowing freely (and heavily) from Motorhead. There's a lot of music here and it all starts sounding monotonous after awhile, but for the most part, the music doesn't sound too dated. Beowulf is definitely a solid second-tier band worth revisiting, but by no means essential.

Beowulf is a crossover thrash band that came out of the Venice scene. Every band offered a different flavor and Beowulf was no exception. There sound was a mixture of Hard Rock and Metal. They brought a cool attitude when Dale Henderson sang making every song a cool driving song. You can feel the raw energy in the song as it hits your soul and make you want to jump in a mosh pit. For a very long time you could not find the first 2 Beowulf albums in stores. Once they were out of print that was it. At that point it was time to go to the used section isle of your local record store. Now you can have both albums on one CD. I would recommend this CD for when you have a kick-back with friends and need some music.

...I've seen the Motorhead references and there's some accuracy there but I'd also add some NWOBHM as well, Tank in particular. I also agree about the substandard sound quality but I'm still happy with it overall.
