5.0 out of 5 stars Great book
This is an adorable little flap book with really cute illustrations of baby animals. Any young children who love fuzzy little animals will love this book!

1.0 out of 5 stars Live animals are not gifts
My child was given this as a gift.
This was an awful book.
It is written in the smarmy style the series is known for: with the bears calling each other sister and brother. Who speaks like that?

My child was given this as a gift.

This was an awful book.

It is written in the smarmy style the series is known for: with the bears calling each other sister and brother. Who speaks like that?

What is deplorable about it is that a live animal is a "gift" in a box. What a horrible thing to teach a child. Every year there hundreds of unwanted bunnies "set free" after Easter. These are domesticated animals that can't fend for themselves.

Animals are a responsibility. Better to teach children about adopting a pet than getting one in a box. Children already have difficulty distinguishing live animals from toys [at least young children do] don't encourage this by buying this shameful book.
