The Berenstain Bears' Big Bedtime Book

First, this book is a great value. It contains 6 stories:

1. The 3 Little Cubs and the Big Bad Pig
2. Goldibear and the 3 People
3. The Gingerbread Bear
4. The 3 Billy Goats Gruff Meet the Bogg Brothers
5. The Little Red Hen
6. Little red Grizzly Hood

Secondly, the book contains beautiful Berenstain illustrations on nice heavy paper. My three year old son loves this book and can easily follow the variations from the original stories. The stories take around 5 minutes to read so they are perfect for bedtime.

This is a hilarious take-off on classic fairy tales. My kids loved it when "The Big Bad Pig" got a stomach ache from eating his way through the "Three Little Cubs'" houses made of cake and candy. The storyteller is Mrs. Grizzle from The Berenstain Bears and the Sitter. She's a great character and it's nice to see her back. This collection is a good way to revive kids' interest in traditional fairy tales which have taken a back seat to all the TV shows and movies that we are bombared with. It reminds me of the "Fractured Fairy Tales" on the Rocky and Bulwinkle show that I loved when growing up.

Put my baby bears right to sleep. Def. some of the cutest versions of some of our old favorites with an entertaining twist. Highly recommend.

These are great children's books. Topics they enjoy without being heavy or insipid. Intelligent writing for the age bracket.

I was excited to see this book, I own almost all of the Berenstain Bear books but this book was definitely nothing great. It pretty much consists of old stories (3 little pigs, little red riding hood, etc.) but changed them up a bit and it's told as a story of the cubs being babysat. It's a little difficult to read a story to a child about a story being read to another child, definitely would not recommend this to anyone.

My kids grew up with the Berenstain Bear's books. This is great for my Grandkids.
