This is one of the Berenstain Bears spiritual "Living Lights" titles. The religious content of the book, by the way, is clearly stated on the back cover. I think this is a simple, fun, entertaining book on a helpful and basic subject--sharing--reinforced with religious references. In looking at the other reviews, it is interesting to note how bigoted some people are against books with Christian or, perhaps, any religious content.

Sharing is a tough concept for all people, not just children. In The Berenstain Bears Learn to Share, Sister Bear learns the importance of sharing. Playing by yourself can be fun but sharing and playing with others is much better. She learns that sharing is showing love the way Jesus wants us to.

Momma C's Thoughts: Using the typical rhyming lines, this book explores the importance of sharing. The illustrations are the usual clear and fun drawings that we are used to from Berenstain Bear books. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this book, it seems the rhyming almost overrules the character education the authors are trying to explain. Some great points but it needs some explanation and discussion for the concept to be grasped.

This is not one of the classic Berenstain Bear books. It purports to be about sharing but is really Christian propaganda in disguise. My Jewish mother certainly would not have purchased this book as a gift for my religiously unaffiliated nephew had this book was honestly advertised. Very disappointed in this purchase.

I've read the majority of the published Berenstain Bear Books and they're great for young or old!
