great challenging content but still age appropriate,

My son is going into first grade this fall and it was the perfect challenge level while still not overwhelming him with too many new words and concepts. Plot introduced the whole "bad guy" concept with the one that steals the money, we were able to deconstruct that one and he likes to feel the confidence of reading new words. I would recommend it.
