Bergan StarChaser Replacement Ball, Colors Vary

This flashing ball fits into your Bergan Turbo Scratcher or Bergan Turbo Track.
I added this ball to my setup of three Bergan Trubo Tracks.
My cats responded quickly to the ball, which flashes for a few seconds after it's touched.
They seem to prefer this flashing ball over the white ones.

What a nice surprise to find replacement light-up balls at a reasonable price. An even nicer surprise is that the replacement has outlasted the original. Our female cat only bats it occasionally, but the male cat absolutely loves this thing. He plays with it almost every time he walks past - keeps him occupied and out of mischief! (Visiting children find it pretty irresistible, too.)

I purchased just the replacement ball without the holder and my cat loves it!! By far the best blinking out of any lighted balls and after being constantly chased for over a month - no problems. Surprisingly sturdy!

I highly recommend spending the extra money to get this ball if you purchase the Bergan cat track. Our cat is much more attracted to the lighted ball than the non-lighted one. It only lights up when it rolls, so when the ball stops rolling it encourages the cat to get it going again to make it light up. Our kitten is having a blast with this and the cat track. We tried giving her both balls at once, but she seems to get annoyed and confused with that. Both balls together would probably work well if you have more than one track snapped together, but if you have one track this is THE ball to use! Have fun laughing at your cat while watching them play!

My two cats love the cat chaser toy almost every day, but never played with it at night till I got the Starchaser light up ball. They both took turns making it spin and light up.

I replaced the plain white cat track ball with this lighted one and my kittens love to play with it. Sometimes I take it out of the track and play "mini kitty soccer" or "fetch" with them while I watch their eyes totally fixated on this ball. It's pretty funny to watch them stare at it when it stops moving and realize that they need to hit it to make it light up. This is a cleaver invention that my kitties are having a "ball" with.

I think the idea of the flashing lights when the ball is moving is pretty cool. My cat is a bit intimated by the lights, but she gets used to them and continues to play. I would recommend this product because it's safe and I bet most cats would have a hoot playing with this at night in the dark when the rest of the family is asleep!

This ball lights up when moving I use it with the Bergen Turbo Cat Track and the cats love it. It fits in it perfectly, but it can be used alone too.

I bought this after my cats started to get bored with rolling the solid ball that comes with the Bergan Turbo Scratcher Cat Toy, Colors May Vary. Now, they LOVE this ball rolling around the Turbo Scratcher! The flashing light inside this ball stokes their curiosity and playfulness even more than a solid ball does. I do wish that Bergan also made a version of the StarChaser ball that has a bell inside it since my cats also like rolling the balls that have a jingle-bell in them. This flashing ball is not only fun for kitties when used in Bergan products, but if your cats like chasing balls across carpet or flooring (e.g. kitty soccer), this works well in that play mode too.

The flashing light inside the ball is motion-activated. Once the ball starts rolling, either rolling on the Turbo Scratcher's circular track or just free-rolling across a floor, the light inside the ball instantly starts flashing, turning the colored ball into a disco ball. The flashing then slows down as the ball stops rolling. Both of my cats have become conditioned like Pavlov's dogs with this effect!! Once they see that the ball has both stopped rolling and stopped flashing on the Turbo Scratcher, they give the StarChaser a furious whack with their paw to start the disco lighting again. If you are annoyed by this lighting effect at night when you are asleep, you can always locate this toy somewhere else. But neither the sound of the ball speeding around on the Turbo Scratcher nor the flashing light bothers me; I think it is all very cute.

You activate the battery-operated flashing effect by pulling out a paper tab that has been inserted into each new ball. Unfortunately, the battery that is inside the ball is not user-replaceable, so eventually the ball does stop flashing and just becomes a regular play ball. But the built-in battery does seem to have quite a long lifespan and keeps flashing for many months.

I always keep several of these StarChaser balls around the house, both to use on the Turbo Scratcher and to also let the cats roll it across carpet and floors. At night, it is pretty cool to see my cats chasing the flashing blur of color across a dark room! A great crowd-pleaser, for both kitties and humans alike!

It was Great while it lasted...which was about a week. After that it would not light. Our cats Loved it and played with the lighted ball after Lights-out. I wish there was a ball that could be recharged by light everyday and glow at night. Not Battery Powered. You cannot replace the battery in this Bergan ball...it does-not open. Will Not Order another one at $4.99 per ball.
