Review

I love Berkonomics!I only wish my professors had used this book as our text book in my economics courses. Dave has the wonderful ability to make complex concepts relateable to our everyday lives. I try to incorporate your concepts into my business dealings both as a senior managing consultant with a Fortune 100 company and as a small business owner of a web design and marketing firm.

Having been CEO / President of four companies in my career, I believe I have made a lot of the mistakes that Dave points out so succinctly in "BERKONOMICS". I believe that had I had access to this book back then, I could have avoided most of them.

I found the book to be an easy read, concise and made more meaningful by his sharing good examples of his previous experiences. I believe this book, when used as a reference, will prevent others from having to learn the hard way. Personally, I plan to continue to use this book as a primer to review certain situations and remind myself of what not to do, even though in some cases I have already been there.

In addition to refreshing my memory, I also gained insight into new areas that will make me more prepared and valuable should I now experience them.

I consider it a "must have" on any CEO / President's book shelf.

This book is the "Art of War" for the modern business world in today's terms.

In this short book, Dave shares an incredible amount of experience and insight that will serve any entrepreneur well. Whether you are just starting out or are a seasoned business person, here is the voice of someone whose has been successful in navigating the endless land mines and pitfalls of business while keeping his eye on the goal. The truly amazing thing about this book is how condensed it is relative to the horrendously wide range of knowledge it conveys.

If you don't spend the time to read and consider the simple but very effective points Dave makes, you deserve to suffer the ill's that make so many entrepreneurs and businesses fail.

Dave Berkus has packaged this gem in an easy to consume, informative format. It contains wisdom that only years of thrills and spills of a lifetime and operation of entrepreneurial businesses can reveal. As a CPA, I have seen so many with tremendous potential fall for lack of effective planning and counsel. This really brings clarity to the majority of the issues. To an entrepreneurial business owner---Read this! It does not guarantee success but it sure increases the probability of it. To an investor---Read this! If you don't, you run the risk of investing in an enterprise that might only succeed by mistake.

Berkonomics and it's corresponding workbook is a "must have" for any CEO wanting to build a team of A Players. After first reading the book, I flew my leadership team into California from as far away as Atlanta and New Zealand for a two day retreat. Dave's tools and lessons led us to perfect alignment!
