It's simply, Hannibal Marvin Peterson are one of the best trumpet players ever! This live album are an example of the majesty, the technique and the spiritual energy of this musician... It's a very unsung hero of the trumpet!(like Woody Shaw...)In the sound of Hannibal you listen the story of the trumpet from the sound of Hot Lips Page and Roy Elridge to the sound of Dizzy Gillespie and Fats Navarro to Don Cherry and Don Ayler... But all in the unique and personal sound of this incredible trumpet player!Please listen the blues mood of the standard "Willow Weep For Me", the spiritual energy of the traditional "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" and the force of the sound in "My Favorite Things"... If you don't know this musician in this album you listen a wonderful trumpet player and one of the best jazz live albums ever! Listen and enjoy!
