This review is from: Berlitz Copenhagen Pocket Guide (Paperback)
I bought this book for my mom, who is from Copenhagen. She has not been there since 1974. So she needed something to remind her.
This little pocket book is poor. It has a little map in the back that shows the central area of Copenhagen, but does not show the airport or a surrounding area which is needed. The book consists of places to go, what to do, and eating out, but you can find this information out on the internet for free.
Pro:
* it has a useful key phrases,
* how to read a menu,
* lots of information about the history, the city and the people (but again, research it online for free).
Con:
* Not detailed maps to show you what you need to do, unless you want to just hit the center city and go to the usual tourist areas, but not where the locals would hang.
* Nothing on public transportation or how to travel from place to place
* It talks about where to go, but not how to get there
Overall, The history in it is good, but again you can find this information on the internet for FREE. But the cons are highly outstanding to the pros. This book is more like a history book then a travel pocket companion, which is what I thought it was.
