Now matter how you say it, this small pocket dictionary easily makes the transition between Suomi and Englanti (Finnish and English for you non-bi-lingualites) so easy. It's a nice partnership with the "Say it in Finnish" book.

Berlitz Finnish-English Pocket Dictionary by the Berlitz Publishing Company is a handy little reference guide when you need to look up a word in Finnish and find its English equivalent. Occasionally useful for checking out a book title on Librarything too, for combining.

Finnish is one of those languages where guessing is pretty much impossible for anybody, to start with.

Anyway, not too bad.

This is a good size for travel and seems to contain lots of useful travel words.

This book may be good for the traveller. Looking at old Finnish books and trying to figure out the captions under the pictures is a challenge with this dictionary. Also, translating internet Finnish writings is very difficult.
