After having looked at several other travel guides on East Africa and Kenya I finally settled on this small book. Easily fitting into your shirt pocket, this little gem is full of useful information. Topics found range from the country's history, detailed information on the wildlife you might see, to safari etiquette. Reading it before travel (easily done in a day or two at most) prepares you for the many wonderful things you will see in Kenya. Its compactness allows you to carry it with you and enrich your experience by using it as a handy reference during your travel and safari. The flaps contain useful maps of the country and relatively detailed maps of Nairobi and Mombassa, the country's two major cities. The book is richly illustrated with high quality photographs and boxed off sections highlighting useful information. If you are traveling to Kenya and are looking for a travel guide this is the one to get.
