4.0 out of 5 stars Lost?, October 4, 2008
No, this isn't about the addictive TV series, but rather the infamous patch of sea where people, ships and aircraft are said to have vanished "without a trace" (also not the TV series)

This series of graphic mysteries is published by David West Children's Books of the UK, and this one contains abridged versions of strange occurrences at sea, in easy to read comic book format.

Starting with background information on The Devil's Triangle, complete with a map, the book also includes photographs of missing planes and brief recaps of other unsolved cases.

The first graphic story, however, occurs before the earliest reports of the Triangle disappearances, and tells the tale of the Carroll A. Deering, a schooner found deserted near Cape Hatteras in 1921.

The second story is about Flight 19, the "lost patrol" that disappeared over the Triangle in December 1945.

The third is an account of a strange magnetic fog encountered in 1966 by a tug towing a barge off the coast of Puerto Rico and heading for Miami.

The final pages include a glossary, an index, and a suggested list of books for further reading on the subject.

Recommended for sparking the interest of children from around 8 and up.
