Product Description
This large canning rack turns any pot into a canning pot and facilitates many culinary tasks like blanching and sterilizing. Used with a large stock pot, the rack lifts and holds mason jars for easy insertion and removal of jars. The rack elevates the jars off the bottom of pot to prevent glass breakage. The rack has multiple wires to hold all jar sizes, including small jars which won't tip and fall through the rack when lifted. Two handles allow for easy lifting of the rack and jars from the pot, and also permit the rack and its contents to be suspended inside the pot for draining; the handles fold down for compact storage. Also great for blanching, steaming, or boiling corn or lobster.

Handles were nearly impossible to attach to the rack. Appear to me to be made upside down - as weight of jars tends to detach the handles. Not a good buy for the price paid. I was very disappointed in this product.

Although I had stock pots which would handle different size jars, it was difficult to find a rack for each which would keep the jars off the bottom of the pot. These racks worked well with even the biggest. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that I found it easier to use just the base without the handles. The handles do work as advertised, however.

I found this canning rack easy enough to use, but wish it had handles attached. I only used the smaller one thus far. The large is really for a huge hot-water bath unit. It worked ok and I will use it time and again.
