This 9-1/2-inch skillet with a black handle is part of the Berndes Specialty line of cookware. Berndes shapes high-grade aluminum to form these Specialty pans, resulting in a thick base and thin sides for excellent heat distribution and lightweight construction. The nonstick interior and exterior allow the user to cook using very little or no fat. In addition, the aluminum in these pans is guaranteed to never crack, peel, blister, chip, or come off. Users are not recommended to use metal utensils or dishwashers with Berndes Specialty cookware.

The handles are oven-safe to 450 degrees F.

We initially got a set of Berndes cookware as a wedding gift from my brother and sister-in-law. They are well-made and still look like new after 14 years. We started adding to the set with some of their teflon skillets and pans. They are the best teflon we have ever bought. We learned the trick of putting a piece of paper towel in between the skillets when we stack them in the cabinet which prevents scratches. Berndes is the only company I have seen that offers a lifetime warranty.
