Berndes Create-A-Crepe Kit

I was slightly hesitant about buying a pan without actually getting to hold it in my hand and feel the heft, weight; however, the Berndes name helped. The pan is mid-weight and thus easy to lift and swirl for crepe-making. The handle is relatively light without being flimsy and is very comfortable to hold as well. (I have small hands). I was pleasantly surprised to see that the crepe mix included in the kit is from King Arthur's- a company whose products are always of excellent quality. The ladle is nice and small, perfect for this pan. I don't use the spatula-it's too thick!

We use the pan at least once a week for crepes. I typically start with a very brief application of cooking spray but I'm not sure even that is needed, the nonstick surface works so well. Easy to wash as well!

Those who like to eat and cook crepes will love both - the mix and the skillet. It's very easy to cook on it, and the mix is delicious. Recipe cards might be helpful too, if you like to try new foods. Overall- on a scale from 1 to 10 I would go with 10 for this product.

After visiting us in Germany over the holidays and falling in love with crepes, I thought this would be an unusual, fun gift for my teenage brother-in-law. I was right! The whole family enjoyed making his birthday crepes, and it is a good reminder of the German Christmas Markets and Fests that we visited together!

This is an excellent pan for crepes even though it's made in China, not in Germany as promised. The size of the ladle is just enough for making a perfect thin crepe. The spatula is great. The handle is very comfortable. The pan itself is mid-weight and stands perfectly on a surface. The non-stick interior is perfect, no need to clean it, just wipe it with a paper towel and rub with a few drops of cooking oil. The crepe mix differs from the one on the picture. I've got Canterbury Naturals by Conifer Specialties, Inc., haven't tried yet. But I definitely can tell that it's the best crepe pan I've ever had!

We love crepe and pancakes. This pan makes it easy to make both. The pan is a bit lighter and had a bit thinner construction than the standard berndes skillets and pans. This is perfectly fine if you lightly use the pan, maybe once or twice a week. The included ladle offers precise control of the size. The spatula is not needed as flipping crepe and pancakes is easy with the nonstick coating and the lighter weight of the pan. As with the other Berndes pans, the nonstick coating makes cooking and cleaning a cinch. You just need to lightly wipe with a sponge and warm soapy water.

One thing we have noticed is that the pan we received says "made in China", but the product description on Amazon say "made in Germany".

I first bought this pan at Williams Sonoma many moons ago, then after years of heavy use, found the set here at amazon. I love this pan and spatula. The ladle isn't too useful because it doesn't provide enough batter for a single crepe. I didn't try the mix--but that's just because i'm a die hard fan of WS's crepe mix.

Great pan, makes the thinest and best crepes. I bought one for my mom and she loves hers.

I checked the picture shown on the website and I was sure that I saw "made in German" on the box of the kit. But when I received the kit, there was no such line and the pan is made from China. I felt deceived.
